"You've Been Trumped" (Trump Documentary that got Spiked)
YouTube ^

Posted on 01/27/2016 11:10:48 AM PST by ru4liberty

Trump was able to keep this film from coming to light when it was filmed 25 years ago. It's not hard to see why he wanted it kept under wraps. It shows what an unprincipled, dishonest, cruel, opportunistic individual he is.

This film will require an investment of your time (1 hour 20 minutes). That doesn't seem like an unreasonable amount of time to investigate someone who aspires to be the president of the United States. I even recommend that you view it twice (a few days apart) so that you will pick up on some of the things you might have missed the first time. There's a lot to take in.

Please share it with friends, family, neighbors and co-workers who are considering Trump. You'll probably need to discern whether any of these people are TrumpBots, since those people are probably not reachable. Even then, there could be some TrumpBots who could be swayed because they love truth more than their trenched in position on Trump. Show it to them and let the info in the film accompany them to the ballot box. Perhaps they'll have a moment of clarity.

Who made the film and what was their agenda? I have read his books. He is principled, honest, and fair but tough.

Has anyone who worked for him or who works for him now said anything unfavorable about him? There you have your answer.

THEN you compare him to Hitlery, and suddenly, the Donald doesn’t seem so bad...

I really do miss the days when people would argue for their candidate, rather than simply ‘the other one sucks.’

Then again, before Trump, we had people here crowing for Bush and Rubio and others of the GOPe slate, and they are nearly all silenced.

Cruz or Trump, either way, the GOPe loses.

A 25 year old video, made by who knows who for what reason.

No thanks, I’ve got better things to do.

I got 20 minutes into it and saw what a hack job it is—why would I give it another hour and a half? It’s spliced together with various sound bites from unknown columnists and such. It’s not worth anyone’s time—honestly.

Translation: "I'm so all-in for Trump that it makes me angry when people point out that he might not be what he says he is. Therefore, I will watch a few minutes and then do an uninformed post in a desperate attempt to cast aspersions on the information in the video and throw others off the trail. Now please go away and don't confuse me with the facts."

As I've said before, Rush isn't the only one who can count the stiches on a fast ball. :)

Maybe there should be a < youtube > video about Leonard Stern.

from wikipedia:

According to the unsigned cover article, "Dynasty In Distress" in the February 9, 2004 issue of Business Week, Stern was "intensely engaged" as a board member of Rite Aid in the mid-to-late '90s when the drugstore chain admitted to overstating net income by $1 billion over two years.[6]

Stern was named in several class action suits[specify] in which investors claimed that he and other directors had breached their fiduciary duty to shareholders. A separate lawsuit, filed by Kevin Mann, the son of the original founder and former executive vice-president, alleged that Stern used his influence to increase shelf space in Rite Aid stores for Hartz's pet products at the expense of competitors. Rite Aid settled that suit in 1999 for $11 million.

Stern resigned from the board in late 2001. According to the article, he "brushes all of this aside: 'We saved that company from bankruptcy. We threw out the old management and brought in the new and set it on its turnaround' (kinda sounds a little like Trump here...lol!)

Upon further reading, it appears Stern made an absolute killing in commercial real estate in Seacaucus, NJ (Meadowlands) up to the 90's, in part by persuading some high-profile companies to move their HQ's from NYC to his properties in NJ.

Stern's issues with Trump sound a lot like sour grapes, both being real estate billionaires, and likely competing for the same clientele. IMHO.

I will watch the whole thing if you absolutely insist. But only if there is one other person on FR who will also do the same thing and then post their fair analysis of it here. Persuade me to give up the hour and half and I promise I will do it.
