I can’t make promises for anyone else, Georgiegirl. Most of the people I know who are not already decided on a candidate are scared to death to post anything negative about Trump on this board. They read. They saw how people who don’t support Trump were treated. They were once robust and contributing members of this board, but have watched as tone and tolerance have plummeted.

We text and email and I try to get them to come participate, but they’re just burned out.

I hope someone comes along to take you up on your challenge. For now, since all my long-time FReeper buddies have walked away, I can’t provide that person for you. I wish you’d do it on your own initiative and with an open mind.

This video shows Trump as I have perceived him since I first started observing him when he announced his candidacy. It confirmed what I knew in my spirit. He exhibits a definite pattern, and it’s scary to think that this could be our future.

who has time to watch that crap.

How do you know it's crap without watching the video? Why would you think it unimportant to invest an hour and 20 minutes to learn some things about the frontrunner of the GOP candidates and who will possibly end up as POTUS? What would you consider important enough to invest that kind of time if it meant gaining knowledge?

whew.
there’s no there there.
Rehashed rehash.
That’s an hour 20 minutes of my life I’ll never get back.
Disjointed, repetitive, sound bitten to death.
Jumps in time backward, forward and back again
Thumbs down.

Hmmmm.... I'm surprised that you weren't even shocked about the elevator accident.

Well, I just finished it and my first impression was, it is a hit piece

The video starts out actually glorifying his abilities and achievements and I wondered ... Why is this being presented as an anti-Trump thread ?

It evolved (artistically) about half way through into a seemingly intelligent and honest expose' regarding Trump as an achiever

A man possessed with winning at all costs

There are interviews and a lot of bits I never knew about, that smudges the image he displays today running for President

I recommend people take the time to view this and digest the thoughts that will process through your thinking

and I'm a Trump supporter

I’m surprised that LifeStyles of the Rich and Famous, Donahue, Larry King, PM magazine sound bytes, among others are considered credible sources.
Not sure what you are trying to accomplish, but this wont get you there.

Please share it with friends, family, neighbors and co-workers who are considering Trump.

Saw it. Loved it. Kicked ass and took names! Then again, I grew up around men who were allowed to be men, not metrosexuals.

Knarf, thank you for considering the info on the video. Georgiegirl has promised to do the same if someone else would slog through it, so I’m pinging her.

So far I’m 15 minutes into this (not sure why I am making time for this, but...) and I have to laugh. The designer for the ice rink didn’t know what pro bono meant? Really?
And the voice over attempts to smear Trump with the canard ‘he didn’t pay the workers’ nonsense - the dude agreed, even after he found out pro bono wasn’t some ‘Italian’ guy. Sheesh.

I’ll be back

I’m rather surprised you are so giddy over this.
I’m half way through and I what I’m hearing is people who
sound more jealous then curious. By that I mean, the architecture critic, Paul Goldberger, comes off in this piece as 1. completely gay (so perhaps he dislikes stronger men) and 2. sour grapes. If that was the best they could do to try and smear the man, that was really pretty lame.

Moving on - I haven’t read his book the art of the deal so I have no knowledge if what the commentator is stating is indeed fact. Taking it on face value, one has to recognize how deeply the city was involved and ultimately, Trump (and I’m guessing others in his position) used every advantage available to him to achieve what he set out to. I think if one is predisposed to dislike him, this will surely incite you.

As for the building with the tenants, sigh - when they resort to ‘interviewing’ 3 of the oddest people for a total of ONE minute, I doubt I’m getting the full story here. When you interview a lawyer who specializes in tenants rights, I think that’s what he was, and there is no clarity as to the violations that took place, I’d have to research this independently, as there already has been a clear bias shown in this video.

The attempt to appear evenhanded was laughable. Bringing in his writing partner and letting him speak for a few minutes, hardly inspired to me view this as unbiased.

For now, my only other observation was the hit about him being away at school and missing the entire 60’s hippie dippy rage against the machine losers - to which I say, thank God. We have enough filthy rich social justice warriors running around, we surely do not need another!

I’ll be back

I give up - talking about his 1st wife and making hay over him saying she was a super model and the narrator points out she was a print model. Oh for the pete sake - this is juvenile.

Okay, thanks for Knarf’s post, I appreciated his analysis. As promised, I will watch the video and then write about it. Give me a little time to make time. :D

You must have fast forwarded through it. :-)

I must have understood that Trump is taking it to the Media DeathStar, and don't need to "view" or "critique" a stray laser blast from said Media DeathStar.

By the way - I've been gone for a while today.

How is Trump's killshot on FoxNews going?

I'm going to go look. It's gonna be like Christmas morning, again!!!

Trump will be on O’Reilly tonight. Hope he announces his plans for Thursday night’s alternative event. Would seem like a conflict of interest, but nothing is a surprise anymore...

Fill in the blank:

+/- 20-25 years before becoming a prominent conservative and eventual Republican presidential candidate, ___________began his political career as a Democrat. He joined numerous political committees with a left-wing orientation, such as the American Veterans Committee. He fought against Republican-sponsored right-to-work legislation.

He planned to lead an anti-nuke demonstration and only his employer's intervention prevented it. He was elected president of a large, famous union twice--a union which had known communists among its members. He appeared ONSTAGE to endorse the Democratic presidential candidate, who subsequently won.

19 years later, as a governor he signed into law a liberalization of abortion that led to an explosion of abortions in his state.

Almost 20 years later, as president, he signed a law that legalized all illegal immigrants who had arrived in the US during the first almost 200 years of the existence of our nation.

I'll fill in the blank for you: our greatest president of the 20th century, known as Ronaldus Magnus, RONALD REAGAN.

Uh, ooookaaaay. Now that you’ve shared that Trump camp talking point (which is a complete non-sequitur), what did you think of the video?
