Trump announces he is most likely not doing the debate

Trump just announced he is not doing the debate this week. Seems that along with not liking Megyn Kelly, Fox just issued some email that insulted him. Some message about Putin and him.

He said he will likely not change his mind.

There was also a voice out of Qatar that warned about what it would be like if Trump were President. They just don’t know that he can’t take rejection and has a horrible temper.

The world is watching...

I haven’t watched much FOX in over a month. About a half hour after I wake up.

Most people don’t watch news channels except news junkies.

90% chance he’s in the debate. The only reason it’s not 100% is he doesn’t seem stable. Either way he draws a lot of attention to himself.

Every other word in the last 30 minutes has been Trump. I won’t watch the debate if he’s not there. Ef Fox. Used to love megyn....that first debate proved to me how blind I was.
Fox need Trump and the ad revenue he brings.

Why should Trump appear at a "Debate" where the moderators number one task is to take him out?

One won't see the Dem nominees doing debates where at combative moderators run the venue.

“Trump is certainly toast, now that he’s absenting himself from the debates, Jeb will emerge as the odds-on favorite.”

Meth must be a helluva ride. :-)

Good!

I know someone that refuses to vote in an election on the principle that it would give his tacit approval to the outcome.

Why should a straightforward candidate submit to an intentional public pillory of invective and slander and seem to validate the result?

Why should Trump or any of the candidates have to put up with a moron like Megan Kelly? I think the candidates should have more say in who asks the questions.

I stopped watching Fox News Channel completely, after their first debate.

Megyn Kelly was awful.

I used to watch the network constantly. Now I don’t watch at all.

Kudos to Trump. The network has become unwatchable.

I pray he does do the town hall and we see what the viewer numbers are for each. Would be a mini-vote?

Good. I’ll get to hear more from Ted Cruz and won’t have to listen to Trumps forked tongue and his nonsensical ramblings.

How nice is it to actually see someone in the election with balls?

Watch the rest of them kiss Meg’s backside the entire debate, especially Bush. He just put the last nail in the landslide by standing up to the establishmedia.

A death knell? The debates haven’t changed poll numbers much.

Gutsy. This could work out well for Trump, depending on what the other candidates do.

Debates can do two things: they can boost a flagging campaign or they can create a gaff that will sink one. Frontrunners never want debates, because there’s no upside. Trump is ahead, so he doesn’t need to boost his campaign, and there’s always the chance that someone might land a blow. So he’s got no reason to show up except what might be said that he can’t counter.

But, because of his media profile, he’ll most likely be able to counter anything the other candidates say via twitter, etc., and he can count on the media to megaphone him.

The danger is if the other candidates gang up on him in his absence. That’s hard to do, because he won’t be there. The natural impulse is to attack the people you can see in front of you. If the other candidates attack each other, Trump will clean up! If they gang up on him, especially if they mock him, he might suffer for it. Like I said before, if he goes through with it, it’s a very gutsy move with a lot of potential for him.

Ask yourself if Trump does a townhall for 2 hours during the Fox debate what are the odds that CNN runs the townhall live just to get the ratings and stick it to Ailes?

I would love if he doesn’t go and then they NEVER mention his name the way zero never said the name of the republican nominee. What WAS his name?
