Good morning from Iowa, where premium gasoline is $1.67 a gallon at Git-n-Go, and where a warming trend has arrived, which could last through the caucuses six days from now, favoring a strong turnout.
There are mounting signs these caucuses may go into the record books for turnout, at least on the Republican side. Tami Jorgensen, who works for the auditor of the predominantly conservative Warren County, told me she was astonished at how many people had called asking for the location of their precinct's caucuses.

Where's Jeb Bush?
You know who is not here? Jeb Bush, who has all but abandoned Iowa for a New Hampshire-or-bust strategy. Mr. Bush has spent just two days in Iowa this month. But the "super PAC" supporting him, Right to Rise, continues to drop heavy ordnance on Senator Marco Rubio of Florida in TV ads and on Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey and Gov. John R. Kasich of Ohio in mailings.
The circular firing squad among establishment-leaning Republicans baffles some strategists.
"If Right to Rise spent $50 million contrasting Jeb Bush and Donald Trump, this race would be very different," said Stuart Stevens, who was Mitt Romney's top strategist in 2012 and whose consulting firm is advising Mr. Christie, although he is not directly involved in the campaign.

Why yes it would, Stewie, but not in the way you’d like to imagine.
Yup, we are here to caucus for Trump... I brung a few friends along...
Hey guys! I told ya we shoulda brought foldin chairs!
When does this rucus, er I mean caucus start?
I am hoping this expected abnormal turnout of Republicans consists of BOTH Trump and Cruz supporters. I really don’t care which one wins in the end. I only want Bush, Rubio and Christie to be so inundated with neglect they slither back to their damned holes under the nearest rock.
A big turnout would be favorable to Trump, from what I’ve heard and read.
The excitement builds.
Heavy calling about caucus information.
Who are those people and who do they support?
A big turnout is a good thing for our republic. It means are ticked off and/or engaged. An engaged populace is good for America. Especially in making it great again....
Yeah I figured this out a long time ago. It’s going to be the biggest caucus turnout for Iowa.
Impossible! Steve Deace's cousin's boyfriend talked to some guy who is really well respected in Iowa and is always right about these kinds of things. He says that the turnout won't be any higher and that the polls that say Trump is ahead are wrong because they call for high turnout. He says there's a 89% chance that Cruz wins by 140 points, based on his scientific turnout models.
You know they're really good too, because he did them on a computer.
Big turnout means Trump wins.
That’s about a given on both points. A new Iowa record turnout and then Trump wins.
America is and always has been great... Even when the Libtards are running the show. Ever seen anyone trying to escape? Even the DUmmies who say they will leave if “X” wins.
Big turnout means Trump wins.
*************
Possible but depends upon the “ACC” effect.
In this case the turnout will be protesting the same things Mr. Trump is protesting, mark my words.
Leni
Boy, there is going to be wailing and gnashing of teeth next week among both Cruzers and the GOPe. Trump now over 40% in CNN poll. I haven’t seen a Reuters 5-day rolling poll in a while.
Those comments got my vote.
“:^)
Gov. Kasich, is that you?
Big turnout= All of those people at Trump rallies are going to show up.
Because that number sure as heck dont go to Cruz’s.

Jeb has zero chance of winning in Iowa, but obviously Mike Murphy wants to cash in on his percentage of the ad buys before Jeb flames out. Nice work if you can get it.
Yep. Nothing brings them to the polls like "We're mad as hell and we're not going to take this anymore!" .
