Yep. Calling people selfish jerks and going on insult tirades. That’ll do it.
Who are these “evangelicals”?

Guess it depend on which of today's polls you read:
From the Iowa Quinnipiac Poll that was released today.....
http://www.quinnipiac.edu/news-and-events/quinnipiac-university-poll/iowa/release-detail?ReleaseID=2318

"One thing is increasingly evident, the conservative wing of the Republican party, at least in Iowa, is carrying the day," Brown added.

Cruz is taking the lion's share of the right wing among Iowa likely Republican Caucus participants, with Trump taking a good chunk and only a few scraps for the rest of the pack.

Cruz leads Trump:

50 - 34 percent among self-professed Tea Party members;
39 - 27 percent among white, born-again Evangelical Christians;
49 - 29 percent among voters describing themselves as "very conservative."

Trump leads Cruz:

29 - 21 percent among self-identified "somewhat conservative" voters;
37 - 6 percent among voters claiming to be "moderate" or "liberal."

GO TED CRUZ!! VOTE TED CRUZ!!

Among white evangelical Republican voters nationally, Trump earned the support of 37 percent, while Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, whose father is a pastor and has played a key role in recruiting faith leaders to support his son, is at 20 percent.

But not in Iowa where they are actually paying attention. This sounds a lot better for Trump than it really is. That 37/20 ratio is not going to hold up for Trump as we move forward.

FR THREAD:

The new Quinnipiac University Iowa poll released today finds that Cruz has doubled his lead over Trump among the critical Evangelical voters. Cruz now leads Trump among Iowa Evangelicals by 12 points - 39 percent to 27 percent. The Iowa Republican Caucus is a two-man race with Trump at 31 percent and Cruz at 29 percent among likely Republican Caucus participants. Marco Rubio is at 13 percent. No other candidate is above 7 percent.

Cruz leads Trump:

50 - 34 percent among self-professed Tea Party members;
49 - 29 percent among voters describing themselves as "very conservative."

Trump leads Cruz:

29 - 21 percent among self-identified "somewhat conservative" voters;
37 - 6 percent among voters claiming to be "moderate" or "liberal."

The new poll is virtually unchanged from the January 11 Quinnipiac poll which found Trump at 31 percent, with 29 percent for Cruz and 15 percent for Rubio...."

As an evangelical, I can tell you this: I have more problems in my church dealing with Ben Carson supporters than Donald Trump supporters.

That’s because there aren’t any Trump supporters in my Bible-believing, conservative church. At least none who will admit it.

Not very much play here about Trumps Sunday visit to a liberal anti Christian, pro abortion, pro gay marriage Mainline Presbyterian Church in Iowa.

I have seen little coverage of it anywhere.

Trump’s outreach to Evangelicals was his choice for a church on Sunday. The event was described by political reporters as an outreach to Iowas Evangelicals.

However, Muscataine’s First Presbyterian Church belongs to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) denomination, a liberal Mainline, not Evangelical, denomination that supports same-sex marriage.

Satan must be laughing. Trump makes Christians look like idiots and acts like the liberals stereotype of the ugly Christian, without any serious evidence he is saved.

Let’s see him disavow and sell off his casinos, repent for his infidelities and sleazy behavior, and offer more than empty words for the pro-life position (contra his pro-abortion actions and financial support). For a start. He has a lot of making up to do.
