There’s a bumpy patch flying US to Europe crossing from land to Atlantic off Canada in clear weather, I’m sure it was much rougher than that with the nor’easter still spinning up there.

They should’ve listened to Betty Davis: “Fasten your seat belts—it’s gonna be a bumpy night.” .

damned turbulence...on American Airlines from Miami...yep turbulence

Pretty far offshore when it turned toward Canada. (Flight is over water from the Bahamas until it would have gotten to Europe. )
Looks like the flight is normally 8-9 hours and it landed in Canada 5 hours into the flight, including what looks to have been about an hour after they decided to head for land.

I haven't flown since just before 9-11 and will never again.
Already been all over the world many times. Don't need or want the hassle anymore.

Looks like a few possibly didn’t buckle up in time if there was time for a warning. It might have occurred too quickly for a warning. Flying people and food carts are never good.

The fact that severe turbulence strikes AA more than any other airline makes me think they are an irresponsible airline driven only by the desire to minimize operational costs. A year ago AA280 flew into a severe snow storm near Japan causing multiple inuries. The flight should never have taken off, been delayed or flown a different route, any of which would have cost the airline but the airline ignored that flew right into the storm.
