Trump Spokesman Flat out Lies about Trump’s Own Words
Redstate ^ | Leon H. Wolf

Posted on 01/23/2016 11:15:46 AM PST by JSDude1

Life as a Trump spokesperson has got to be a degrading existence. Your job, essentially, is to defend every public utterance of a guy who changes positions every half hour, but refuses to ever admit that he has ever been wrong. As the Right Scoop notes, part of the job description of being a Trump spokesman is literally believing that Donald Trump has never been wrong, even when Donald Trump disagrees with previous things Donald Trump has said.

Supporters of other candidates do not have to do this. Rubio's supporters don't have to say that Rubio was never involved in Gang of 8 or that it wasn't a mistake, because Rubio admits it. Cruz's supporters don't have to say that he has never supported a massive increase in H-1B visas or that this wasn't a mistake because Cruz admits it. Cruz and Rubio are actual Christians, see, which means they understand that human beings are fallible and make mistakes, and that admitting your mistakes is part of what makes you a quality person.

Donald Trump also has an infallible god, and his name is Donald Trump, and all who follow him must accept this truth. Watch Trump spokesman Corey Lewandowski flat out lie and say that Trump never said that he needed to "get a little establishment." Credit for finding this video goes to the Right Scoop.

Berman: It's just, do you agree with Donald Trump that you need to be a little bit establishment?

Lewandowski: He didn't say we need to be a little bit establishment..

Berman: He did!

Lewandowski: What he said is you need to put people in a room to get things done. What we need to do is to fix anything, people are so..

Berman: (checking notes) Isn't that what he literally said?

Don’t get upset. It doesn’t matter. What part of that do you not understand?

They realize that Trump winning in Iowa is probably the end of the road for them.

But there is no doubt that the establishment is no friend of Cruz. Since I realize they will knife Cruz immediately after Trump falls, then so does Red State and NRO. That can only mean that they don’t really support Cruz. They are establishment making their money off the status quo. They want Trump to fall, then Cruz to be destroyed, and then an establishment victory either at the polls or at a brokered convention.

I’m surprised the Cruz supporters don’t understand this reality.

Sure hope that doesn’t include Amnesty, confined debt spending with BFF McConnell and Paul Ryan!

It’s obvious Trump’s ahead. Look at all of the Trump attack threads on Free Republic today. Shows desperation by the Cruz supporters posting those threads. Ratio is at least 10/1 (10 attack threads on Trump for every 1 attack thread on Cruz).

Waiting to see if Rush still uses Eric Erickson to host his show. I couldn’t believe how long Rush kept Mark Davis as guest host, even after he dissed the Tea Party in major way.

Really? I didn’t read that. What was Trump’s comment about Kelly?

She’s still got blood in her eyes, btw.

Erick Erickson is a liar. That’s all that really needs saying.

Sadly, he pretends to be a moral man.

I am not bashing Trump, I just want to make sure that between Cruz and Trump we evaluate their actual records and pick the most conservative. That is much different from bashing Trump’s person, character and reputation.

The political establishment is really pulling out the stops. Next they’ll have a story on when DT was 8 years old and picked his nose.

People already know Trump is not a die hard conservative. That is not the reason they are voting for him.

Pick your choice and do not worry about the choices of others.

They have their own reasons that may not mesh with yours.

We have two ONE potential candidates who will upset the DC cabal and that can't happen if the elitist can help it.

There. Fixed it for you. The one and only candidate for conservatism, limited government, liberty, and the American Constitution, is Ted Cruz. And the elitists are as scared stiff of him as average-joe Republicans are scared of Sanders/Hillary. The elitists are COUNTING ON that fear in an obedient electorate to vote against their better judgment and elect Trump, a left-leaning moderate that Republican elitists can manage. Those same elitists took that gamble in 2008 and 2012 and lost.

The worst of it is that with ANY of those candidates, McCain, Romney, or Trump, even if "we" win, we LOSE. Bigtime.

I'm to blame for the Republican party being where it is now, the way I voted "against" Democrats (and automatically blindly defaulted to voting for Republican leftists) for more than 30 years (it ended in 2012). I had the nerve to complain about the R party turning left, when I had VOTED FOR IT TO TURN LEFT for decades. I woke up. I wish YOU WOULD TOO to owning the consequences of what you vote FOR.

So I am making amends and doing what I can with my vote to salvage this country -- see my tagline.

I can accept rejecting Mr. wolf's spin, but you cannot deny the reality of the the video segment.

So, here's more from the 'article'

[spends about 30 seconds not answering the question, I am not going to transcribe his pointless word salad on a Saturday]

So, rather than attempt to practice some semblance of journalism, Leon get's all snarky and lazy to even attempt to depict what the spokesman was saying.

Can't take this guy seriously. Is he trying to be a comedy writer instead of a political commentator?

You see the thing is if the story were written without the obvious snark and bias, I might actually agree with Leon.

Mr. 8% Cruz, who no one can stand, will not be elected President. If they take down Trump the Dem candidate will win. Wall Street will make tons of money on the trade deal and all the hacks that are USING Cruz and his fans to help take down Trump, will be paid back handsomely. There is no other explanation for the all out assault that is going on. Don't be stupid and burn the toast.

I know, Cruz fans do not want to believe Cruz can't win. Everyone in DC, most Republicans and Independents, and ALL Democrat voters hate him. Mr. 8%, who only appeals to the far, far right, can't win.

If the Dems win this election again, America is in big trouble, but the worst off will be the far, far, right.

It’s not about what Trump says, it’s what the true believer wants to believe he said. I don’t think I could think I could take another 4-8 years of Josh Earnest.

That is not the reason they are voting for him.

That's right -- they're willing to vote for Trump because they are angry, and because they want to "get back" at the GOPe, political correctness, and to see "liberal heads explode!!"

Good parents and my bible ALL teach of the dangers of anger and vengeance, that they are human weaknesses, and that it is best to put them aside. Who teaches their kid to indulge anger? Who teaches their kid that "getting revenge" isn't a very stupid path that the bible itself warns against quite clearly?

Well, you who support Trump because he appeals to your anger and lust for revenge -- get ready to reap the consequences of acting on impulses that thousands of years of human wisdom has advised to be WRONG.

So, in other words, Trump’s Spokespeople are just like every dang spokesperson for every dang politician throughout history.

Well, dang. What an indictment. That does it. I’m voting for Jeb! or Bloomberg, dang it.

Were ACA waivers done by EO?
