Conservative authors are banding together to publish a manifesto Friday denouncing the ideas of Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.
Leading conservatives including Erick Erickson, William Kristol and Yuval Levin have written essays for a special issue of National Review to be published Friday, The New York Times reports.
"Donald Trump is a menace to American conservatism who would take the work of generations and trample it underfoot on behalf of a populism as heedless and crude as The Donald himself," reads an editorial accompanying the essays in the issue, according to the newspaper.
The issue will include essays from 22 prominent conservative voices, according to CNN.

I agree Trump is no Conservative and we have to be very concerned about his NY liberalism and his ties to the Clintons and other Democrats. But sadly Erick Erickson, William Kristol, Yuval Levin, National Review.....they aren’t conservative either!
It’s just going to make Trump stronger. These folks need to find a better way to win in the battle for hearts and minds. “Manifestos” against a person is going to end up being preaching to their own choir. It feels good, but doesn’t gain any converts.
These same people would be telling us all how conservative Yeb! is about now if Trump hadn’t jumped in.

DUnald Tramp doesn’t meet that clearly defined guideline on far too many points. What he does do is to bring in all those LIEberals the the DUmocrats purged when their move toward communist takeover of the party was completed.

National Review has been a statist, NWO loving rag for a long time.
How often has any member of the media attacked Cruz? Damn near never.
How many millions has the GOPe spent against Trump? Tens of millions.
How much have they spent trying to stop Cruz? Nothing.
You know why? Because he’s one of them. He’ll keep the gravy train rolling. Just ask his buddy Paul Ryan.
Keep your insider politician. You can call him a conservative all you want, but take that and $4 to Starbucks and maybe get a cup of coffee with it.
I’ll take my chances with a businessman over a lawyer/politician.
