UPSTATE SOCIAL CONSERVATIVE CITES IMMIGRATION ISSUE
Michelle Wiles â one of the Palmetto Stateâs most influential conservative activists â is leaving the South Carolina leadership team of Ted Cruz and joining the campaign of Donald Trump, sources close to both campaigns told us this week.
The Upstate social conservative â widely known and respected in evangelical circles â had been one of Cruzâs most articulate, well-connected South Carolina supporters.
Now her support will go to âThe Donald.â
If this scenario sounds familiar, it should â¦
This isnât the first time an influential female Cruz supporter has gone over to Trumpâs team ⦠and it may not be the last.

On the side of the iceberg that the Cruz ship hit, were the giant letters TRUMP.
I brought it up since I was a target of servers of your attack posts, and I remembered your name. If you have stopped at Jim’s request, I will respect that.
“Alpha male”, “cool crowd”, “bandwagon” are the more likely reasons.
I agree. I’ve noticed people on hear who turned on Rubio after he showed what he really is. I’ve seen people turn on Palin. The bottom line is we can only go on what the candidate says. And hope he does what he says he’ll do. That hasn’t worked out for us in a while but it’s all we got.
I'm just really upset by the flame wars...also being called "COMMIE" and worse, by Cruz supporters. I used to just ignore it, but after months of this, I now fight back....HARD.
OTOH, I've known about Trump for at least 3 decades plus. The more I've learned about him, the more I like and respect him...which I didn't used to.
Sadly I remember what I said a year ago better than what I said yesterday. I try not to make these things personal but I have been sorely tested by a few virulent Cruz posters that invaded every Trump thread to spread discontent.
No....Ted isn’t whom he pretends to be.
Since when do conservatives consider a woman who changes her career affiliation as responding to alpha male behavior. She said in the article her reasons for changing. This is a shameful. You must be a very old grumpy man.
There appears to be quite a bunch of misogynistic creeps on FR,some of whom are actually young an d some of whom are female.
A pattern has emerged involving several posters who repeatedly attack Trump, Coulter and others consistently, as if hired to do it. Their arguments and phraseology are quite similar as if originating from the same source.
This is DISHONEST. The America We Deserve was published in 2000. FIFTEEN & SUM-ODD YEARS AGO.
Your quote says
1 That abortion should be banned at some point- with exceptions for rape, incest, & the life of the mother.
2 IN *2011*, That he told CBN that he had CHANGED HIS MIND **BUT** The America We Deserve was published in **2000**.
And you’re showing a source date of 2015. (No wonder I haven’t seen it. It’s PBS.) This happened in 2011.
**************
Also dishonest- or at least, disingenuous. ONLY **IF** THE BORDER IS SECURE & ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION **HAS STOPPED**. That’s a big ‘’if’’.
Ted Cruz’s position (No, I don’t have a link, but I saw one just a few hours ag- so I can get one. It was a TV interview) is that we should FIRST SECURE THE BORDER- THEN, WE **CAN TALK ABOUT** WHAT TO DO WITH THE PEOPLE WHO ARE ALREADY HERE. Senator Cruz is real good at talking & putting on grand, melodramatic displays. What does he have to show for all that? Seriously.
I believe it was his amendment to the Gang of Eight bill where he proposed to MAKE THEM LEGAL, just not give them citizenship- DEFACTO AMNESTY.
This why you have no credibility. You’re not honest. And neither is your candidate.
Re-read the article. The PBS June 2015 show sources the abortion quote you list as #1 to a January Bloomberg News interview. Since the year is not present in that reference, it is implied to be the same year as the show, 2015. Is Bloomberg News lying, too? Note you had to drop the “January” from that quote, thereby misquoting me, to attempt to make your point.
It’s also pretty naive to think a wall will stop all crossers. It will slow them down significantly, but giving amnesty to illegals found in the country after it’s built will become a legal quagmire where illegals caught after will clog up the system claiming “they were here before, but can’t prove it since they were living in the shadows”. No matter the timing, amnesty is amnesty, and any amnesty is bad.
But maybe some more name calling and insulting will help sway me.
Since when do Conservatives use alpha male behavior as voting criteria? I thought the Liberals had the lock on the emotional voting and Conservatives used things like policy, values and integrity.
That is at least the 3rd time you said alpha male in this thread. Incredibly odd commenting! And you're from Texas? What, Austin?
Here's a little secret. Women like alpha males for lack of a better word, but it means they like men as opposed to adult boys and especially metrosexual girley men. On the other hand, feminazis don't like alpha males at all ( or real men of any description ). The destruction of the male personna is part and parcel of their agenda. And it starts when they are young.
These must be the strangest comments I have ever seen outside of Salon or Huffington Post or DailyKaos. You gotta have some kind of agenda here that is trying to get out. So what the heck is your story?
For sure. Some folks just want to go with whoever is big atm, regardless of principle. I mean, take Palin as an example....she went with McCain in 2008...lol
There was an earlier article discussing a poll of black women asking about Trump’s appeal to them. The conclusion: they see him as an alpha male and like that trait. Policy was not a driver for their support.
From her self-description, she's a good fit in either campaign.
My top issue is ... government debt ...Another issue that matters to me is ... national security. ...
My 2016 choice is ... Senator Ted Cruz. The fact that he has called president Obama the "Lawless Imperator" speaks volumes. To speak the truth and not be afraid of is courageous. Ted Cruz is pro-life and supports personhood. He has vowed to repeal Obamacare. He is pro Second Amendment and opposes the United Nations' Arms Trade Treaty. He supports our military. He is against Obama's illegal amnesty and is for defunding amnesty - he supports securing our borders. He opposes Obama's dangerous "deal" with Iran. He loves our country and he isn't afraid of the establishment. Finally, I have looked him straight in the eyes, and I trust him.
In the 2012 primary, I voted for ... Newt Gingrich ...
The next president needs to ... change everything Obama has done.
Which queer billionaire Bilderberger would that be?
Think we are on the same side. Good luck to us all.
Maybe she is, but also using critical thinking skills, Cruz can’t win the general.
