No amount of money can get people to vote for a bad candidate.
And let’s face it: Jeb Bush IS an appallingly bad candidate.
A fact even Mike Murphy can’t fix.

Trump and Cruz have spent only a tiny fraction of what Bush has spent, yet have better results. That displays poor judgment on Bush’s part, and underlines the fact that you can’t just buy votes with shiny ads. People need substance.

There might be a PAC problem. But the big problem is Jeb is a friggin JERK. A RINO, doesn’t get it, no light bulb going off, JERK.

They all had to know Murphy would never give a penny back. And they have no one to blame but themselves for falling in with such a tarnished Bush brand and ridiculous theory of running left to win the primaries after seeing the TEA movement and the congressional routs.

Yeb’s one accomplishment: proving false the Democrats’ claim that the First Amendment must be re-written to restrict “unlimited campaign contributions” or rich donors will be able to buy a President into office.

Bush's campaign would have been wildly successful 20 years ago. They don't realize that the political landscape has massively shifted.
The Republican electorate has seen 8 years of a miserable submissive failure (Bush), 8 years of an in-your-face Marxist (Obama), and 15 years of elected Republicans that have done nothing but surrender.
Yet they are still playing by the political playbook from the 1990s.
