Knives Wanded at Hustler Club in Las Vegas Shot Show Attendees

One of my contacts in Las Vegas is Garrett Cameron of Montactical.com. They are doing a good business of custom stencils and Duracoat finishes of just about any pattern that you can imagine on a firearm.  Garrett was with a few friends and associates from the Shot Show.  They decided to give the Hustler Cub a try.  I do not think they knew it is owned by a noted disarmist and Hillary Clinton Supporter, Larry Flynt.

When they got to the door, they were met by a security guy with a metal detecting wand.  He was very polite, but asked that they hand over any knives that they had on them.

You can see from the picture, it was a nice handful of well made blades.  Probably about one for each member of the group.  Maybe somebody had a pocket knife and a multi-tool.

After collecting the pocket knives, the security guard asked them if any of them had any guns on them.  The group looked at each other face to face for a couple of seconds.  After all, they were from the Shot Show.  They gathered up their knives and headed out to the car.  The idea was that they would lock everything up in the trunk.

Then somebody said "Why should we go someplace where we are not trusted?"

The whole group decided that they would find other entertainment that evening.

Avoiding places that do not allow armed citizens, is becoming a common practice in the gun culture.

Alienating a third to a half of the adult population is not a good business practice.

Most of the movie theaters around where I live have “no guns” signs.

I view it as their problem ... I, and my money, go elsewhere.

Here is how I would prefer patriotic-citizens handle such a scenario:

I’ve known of some bars over in Oklahoma that were so bad the bouncers stopped everyone at the door to see if you had a gun or knife on you.
If you didn’t, they issued you one before you went in!

wink/wink.

went to a strip club in Canada and they wouldn’t allow me in because I was wearing a leather jacket. In November. that was a cold walk back to the club.

A new tactic they have developed is on a weekend in Chicago for instance if 35 people are shot and 15 die during multiple events they are now counting all the events as one events.

So it now becomes a mass shooting.

Didn’t know SHOT went like this. Getting pretty tired of empty zip-tied guns in holsters at gun shows. NRA headquarters is gun free except for the range.

Is it PC or tyranny of the insurance companies?

Liability over responsibility?

It is mostly liability. There are about a dozen negligent discharges at gun shows in a given year.

I do not know of any fatalities, but a few people are injured, sometimes severely. One negligent dischage can destroy a gun show operating company.

About 5-10 million people attend gun shows each year.

One thing I’d like to start seeing gun rights organizations pushing in various legislatures is the idea that any establishment that strips those on premise of their ability to exercise their 2nd amendment rights would be opening themselves up to a much higher level of liability. Since they have disarmed the people there, they should be seen from a legal standpoint as having affirmatively shouldered a burden to protect.

When you start seeing gun control nonsense affecting their bottom line, you’ll start seeing a heck of a lot less of it.

I will never enter another HEB supermarket ever again in my lifetime unless they rescind their immoral disarmist policy.

Guns, bottles, fists, knives, clubs - all the same to me. All the same to you?

Harvey Logan: Rules? In a knife fight? No rules!

[Butch immediately kicks Harvey in the groin]

Butch Cassidy: Well, if there aint' going to be any rules, let's get the fight started. Someone count. 1,2,3 go.

Sundance Kid: [quickly] 1,2,3, go!
