What's the hurry to nominate Trump like it's do or die in Iowa. We should take our time and see what Cruz has to say. Give Trump time to grow as a candidate, get exposed to what we Americans want from him. I want to flesh out these two candidates. I think Americans deserve it.

I don’t know for sure what motivates Trump. I like that he has a history of saying what he wants without fear whether or not it is politically correct. I like that he is the only candidate that the English Parliament debated banning from their country. You can’t get an endorsement much better than that.

Odd that’s the way I see Cruz supporters. If he doesn’t win there it’s the end of the world.

He wants to .. Force Israel.. Force Apple... The basic principles of sovereign nation are a bare minimum requirement for this voter.
We have more hostages taken in Iran... Soon to be other countries, because somebody didn’t understand the Jefferson history with Barbary.

I don't like incidents like 9/11, Chattanooga, and San Bernardino happening in the U.S. I don't like having an invasion across our southern border. I don't like illegal immigrants being here illegally or the crimes some of them commit. I do like a wall.
I believe a few of them are trolls having the time of their life, but some of the people I recognize apparently do see Ted Cruz as some sort of almost biblical figure. I remember back when Pat Buchanan (!) was presented by some FReepers as being some sort of saintly Christian knight in shining armor, but this go-around seems a bit more intensely vituperative. To be fair, we are all under more pressure than in those bygone days (I certainly am).

I agree. Give him a month or so and perhaps he'll endorse a 500% increase in H1-Bs or a pathway to citizenship again.
We need a couple of years for everyone to get to know how wonderful Cruz is. Let's put off the election until Ted can win.

All you see on TV is Trump, Trump, Trump, like he’s the only choice for us. I don’t like being spoon fed like a good little voter.
I understand, but the media gives Trump attention because he has a knack for making himself interesting.
Candidates aren't owed column inches or electronic media exposure. They have to earn that by giving the people and the media compelling reasons to listen to them.
Trump does that. Others do too, but not to the degree that Trump does. The man is simply better at getting people's attention, then giving them reasons to continue paying attention to him.
That's all there is to this.
