Ted Cruz‘s wife, Heidi, was once so depressed that a police officer wrote: "I believed that she was a danger to herself."
The incident happened in 2005 shortly after Heidi quit her high-powered job at the White House and moved to Austin, Texas, to be with her husband, who was state solicitor general.
Police responded to a 911 call about a woman in a pink shirt sitting next to an expressway and found Mrs. Cruz sitting on the ground ten feet from speeding traffic with her head in her hands.

No way I want someone with a history of emotional instability in the WH.
This disclosure damages Trump. Who would be interested in doing that?
Winston Churchill
Franklin Roosevelt
Sam Houston....and many more who were clinically depressed....not their wives...them!!!!
Is this real or propaganda?
“Any one can be cool and collected when he nor anyone in his family has never faced an economical problem in his life. “
What a weird meme. Guess you were born after 1990-95 and missed what happened to Trump back then.
See post #103....you sir don not have a clue!!!
That’s certainly true. There have been times when I just go outside & watch the squirrels eat. The ocean would be better, but it’s not steps away. It definitely helps- so much so, it’s practically manic.
Somebody on another site posted a screenshot of where Heidi was picked up.
Let’s just say it wasn’t relaxing.
I’ve had enough drama to overflow the rest of my life. Out of the Clintons. Out of Bush. Out of the 0bamas, AND SURE AS SHOOTIN OUT OF TED CRUZ. He’s only been there TWO YEARS & it’s been NON STOP.
This guy is gonna be a drama queen extraordinaire.
I’m not up for it. I’m ready for a break.
I think he did. Maybe even the adult table but sank faster than the titanic.
According to a well-known anecdote, one day when he was $1 billion in debt, Trump pointed out a homeless man to his daughter and said, “See that bum? He has a billion dollars more than me.” The Guinness Book of Records lists him as having the biggest financial turnaround in history. “In the early 1990s, I owed billions of dollars and many people thought I was finished,” says Trump. “I refused to give in to the negative circumstances and I never lost faith in myself. I didn’t believe I was finished even when the newspapers were saying so. I refused to give up. Defeat is not in my vocabulary.”

You’re atrocious scum, troll.
Thank you Madam, for stepping up. I am going to try something in hopes that both Cruz and Trump supporters will stop with the one liner "...Yo Mama..." level comments; the pure attack attack posts.
Probably won't have much effect, but it's worth a try.
He was billions in debt...your post....He claimed bankruptcy....and screwed the people whose money he borrowed. Even he say’s this. Loosing billions and going into bankruptcy is not a success story.
First off this is on Inside Edition and is being carried by Yahoo News. That means it is pretty much in the mainstream and likely to go viral.
Second, I don’t think the person who posted it meant to come across like a DU’er. I find the article actually very instructional. Now, who is doing this level of muckracking and if the GOP-e, Trump, or the DNC...is the question.
Third, while part of this story is, I guess in the public domain, the rest of the story is protected under HIPPA.
Lastly, it would not surprise me that nearly everyone in DC is under some sort of treatment for any number of mental conditions. I know, it sounds like I am trying to make a funny...but c’mon how many of these DC federal workers are on some sort of anti-depressants? I bet even Michele and the girls take something themselves to deal with the stress of the position during a horrible Presidency.
Yes, printing this crap-sandwich is really, really low. It is very ugly and actually quite offensive. The Freeper who posted it here I do not believe meant to post it as an attack on Cruz or Heidi, it was meant to be informational about what we’re going to be up against.
Trump with all his bankruptcies, divorce, etc. has skeletons hiding in his closet too. This year isn’t going to be “nice or pretty.”
It is time for true conservatives to stop this nonsense.
Did we learn nothing in 2000 and 2008 and 2012? Good conservative candidates were trashed over and over until they stopped out and the establishment got their pick.
Just stop
**GOPe-Liberal exploding heads !**
This is the type of thing Mrs. Bill Clinton had in mind when she pushed HIPAA.
Political terrorism, just like the FBI files.
The story appeared in Mondayâs New York Times and was first reported by Buzzfeed
She rebounded from her depression and now says: âI want to use it to strengthen people around me and to recognize that we all have rough patches,â according to The New York Times
Actually...read the whole article.
The original was posted in the New York Times no less!! Now, the money quote is at the bottom of the article.
As First Lady she just might be the advocate everyone has been looking for to address the mental health issues in our country. You know that issue everyone talks about after some mass shooting...
Yep...that hag is a snake that would nip you even before you got close enough to see.
I’m guessing you’ve noticed that the election season trolls are subtly shifting toward the GOPe just like I’ve predicted. They’re using Trump to do it but they’re definitely doing it.
They happily promote every nasty thing about Cruz to come out of Trump and cheering the GOPe on when they adopt those same attacks. After they take down Cruz It won’t be long before those election season trolls who happily attack Cruz while rabidly supporting Trump start having small “concerns” about Trump. Those concerns will grow and eat away at his support.
When Trump is finally taken down the ESTs will sadly sigh that we gave it our best shot but now we have to support the GOPe nominee (likely Rubio). Soon after that they’ll disappear from FR for another 3 and a half to 4 years.
