Donald Trump unloaded on Sen. Ted Cruz, saying, "I'd do the public a big favor" by suing Cruz over his eligibility to be president.
Appearing on ABC's "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos in an interview airing on Sunday, Trump also slammed Cruz over not disclosing loans from Goldman Sachs and Citibank, arguing, "He has a personal financial disclosure form where he didn't put down the banks and yet he criticizes the banks and he's gonna be Robin Hood and he's gonna take care of the banks."
Regarding Cruz's eligibility to be president, Trump said that there are "legal scholars that say as an example that Cruz has a real problem with his place of birth, and there are many people who are saying that right now, in fact, since I spoke to you the last time, he's been sued. And I told you he'd get sued."
Stephanopoulos then said, "But you know, the person who sued him probably doesn't have standing, a lot of legal scholars-." Trump interrupted, saying, "That's all right. There will be a lot of people who sue him who do have standing."
"Say you have standing, why don't you file the case," Stephanopoulos asked. Trump responded, "Oh that's an interesting case. Wow that sounds like a very good case. I'd do the public a big favor."
Asked if he would sue Cruz, Trump said, "You know it's so interesting with Ted. He was so nice to me and I kept saying, he's not a nice guy, you know he was nice, he wanted to go on the wake, right? So nice, so nice, so nice, when is going to happen? Well it happen during the debate because he lied about the polls, because I was going up...

No, Donald, you’d just embarrass yourself.
Question: If you’re all so confident in Trump running the table and winning the nomination, why attack other candidates, specifically Cruz?
I am getting to the point that if Trump is the GOP candidate, I may have to stay home in November. Ted Cruz is my guy!
Donnie. You don’t have the stones to sue. Tee it up, Big Boy. Roll the dice.
And there it is. Well, Mr. Trump, get after it. I would love to see a SCOTUS ruling on whether or not statutory citizens-at-birth are natural-born citizens under the constitution.
If this isn’t pre-arranged between Trump & Cruz, it sure is convenient for both of them.
Trump: “I hear it was checked out by every attorney and every which way and I understand Ted is in fine shape,”
flip flop
Is trump suffering from aphasia? Poor guy.
Stay classy, Don.
“I am getting to the point that if Trump is the GOP candidate, I may have to stay home in November. Ted Cruz is my guy!”
ditto! Except, I have past that “point”.
Rubin was an anchor baby. It needs to be settle law. Down ward spiral.
Obviously Ted had a question about it. He mentioned the conversation with Trumps lawyers last fall
No, I think he has the stones. Neither Trump nor Cruz is ignorant. Both of them must realize that there is no definitive answer on statutory citizenship-at-birth. There is only speculation. Some of it favors Cruz. Some of it doesn’t.
I hope Trump sues so the exact legal meaning of the term “natural born citizen” will be settled. This has been a “yuge” question for way too long.

After 2008, 2012 and now 2016 the NBC Question needs to be answered by a court.
Trump is on the right track.

Trump is just making sure that the constitutionality of this process is observed.
Again, just trying to help Cruz.
Unimportant. Rafael can say whatever he wants.
Clearly, Cruz would like the topic to go away, and equally clearly, Trump knows a big opportunity to exploit when he sees one. As Jeb himself said “this ain’t beanbag”.
