n a sermon last year at an Irving, Texas, megachurch that helped elect Ted Cruz to the United States Senate, Cruzâ father Rafael Cruz indicated that his son was among the evangelical Christians who are anointed as âkingsâ to take control of all sectors of society, an agenda commonly referred to as the âSeven Mountainsâ mandate, and âbring the spoils of war to the priestsâ, thus helping to bring about a prophesied âgreat transfer of wealthâ, from the âwickedâ to righteous gentile believers.

Who you gonna believe, me or your lying eyes?
Good evening FRiend.
The Cult Of Cruz needs to be shown more in here methinks...
Thread bookmarked.
Did you watch the video? It’s people praying over Ted. He was, in fact, elected Senator.
What’s wrong with people praying or believing in God?

In the video, Ted was right there during all of it....wasn’t he?.....
Post each time they bring it up like they do.
I have come to the conclusion that many belong to a similar Christian church
Others behave as if no churched.
I won’t watch the video, but did poppa Cruz tell the congregation to “Put on the Armor of God” and to “raise and energize the Body of Christ” in the name of Ted Cruz?
I had the same thought. This is going to strike people different though. Obama went to a black/marx theology church (it a community organizer thing), and just soaked up Wright's rage.
In Cruz's case, Cruz is a subject of the church service. Feels more like a Joel Osteen running for president sort of thing.
Jesus
Look, most of America is religious in one sense or another...Mainly in a general sense in that they do want to do good, but being the sinners we are, we fail to live up that that ideal. Okay I get that. I also get the religious temperament at times like when FDR gave his D-Day prayer over the radio the night of June 6th. Listen to it sometime, its amazing. NBC all during the day had on religious leaders of all faiths deliver a D-Day prayer. But it was all in a, how can I put it, a general religious sense. Asking for protection of our boys, etc...I get that type of faith in the public square...I can even understand that asking for the Lord’s help in winning an election to get the country on the straight and narrow again (like it ever was). I get all of that...
I am not being flip here, but I don’t get the whole “...putting on the Armor of Christ...” and being anointed to take over society thing. As I don;t want to be ruled by a bunch of communists, I also don’t want to be ruled by a gaggle of High Priests taking what little wealth I have into their coffers because in their eyes, I am not worthy.
I get Huckabee and his Ol’ TImey religion. I get that. I don’t get this being anointed to serve as King/s. Maybe I have too much Jefferson thinking or something, I dunno. Flame away.
Oh Oh....thanks for that info, Rita!
I'm sorry, but it does.
I don't see this as a mainstream Christian belief. It just sounds "culty."
The words contained in prayers matter.
That’s what delineates them from spells.
No one other than Christ is anointed to be anyone’s King.
Is Ted responsible for what his father says?
Is his father running for President?
Can you say stupid much?
Conservative Review isn’t out to protect Cruz or ANY candidate for that matter. Conservative Review exists to promote conservative values and principles. Just because their researched and FACTUAL ratings don’t correlate to your projections of Trump doesn’t mean they suck. It just means you enjoy living in denial.
CTH has had a hate-on for Cruz for the entire cycle with these garbage hit pieces. Just because your candidate sucks on SUBSTANTIVE issues doesn’t give you the right to pull up BS crap stories with no merit.
Only an idiot would beleive Ted Cruz subscribes to this nonsense. But then again, only an idiot would back Trump in the debate on the NYValues question and pretend like they didn’t know what Cruz was talking about, which is what you did.
So when you have SUBSTANTIVE issues to discuss come back and reply to me. Otherwise, FReep off.
Neither of which is an “an ointment”.
So WHO “anointed” Ted’s head with oil......GOD?
Annointed? I am sorry, but we are entering the hearing voices mode. Joan of Arc he ain’t
