Trump the Bully Hits a Wall
Politico Magazine ^ | 1/15/16 | Jack Shafer

It's worked on one opponent after another. Here's why he's met his match with Cruz. s every verbal bully can tell you, simply slathering your adversary with insult is never enough to drive him publicly, humiliatingly into the ditch. If you’re going to wound, the insults have to contain some truth—often just a seed of truth, enough to nurture injury bitter fruit. So in calling Jeb Bush low energy again and again and again and again, Donald Trump is not dishing a random taunt at his opponent.

This is probably a good question to ask: Why is it a unforgivable sin for Rubio to have trusted Schumer and NOT an unforgivable sin for Trump to have praised him and

donated money to him over a long period of time?

What did Rubio do? Both of these are about Trump and Schumer.

“If I were one of his conservative supporters, I would be more concerned about his NY values that he spoke of in 1999, when he ran for president as an independent liberal in the vein of Mike Bloomberg. His enthusiastic support for partial birth abortion would really give me pause, as would the hundreds of thousands of dollars he’s given to pro-population control groups like the Clinton Foundation.”

You know who’s site you are on don’t you? He’s ok with Trump for now and so am I.

Memo to Politico hacks:

Yeaaahhhhhhh.... Keep on splashing the same wishful thinking headline and vacuous claptrap since Trump entered the race.

Didn’t work then. Won’t work now!

Also I don’t get it here about Tea Party supporting Trump. They support Cruz. Trump is getting more like a new great unwashed (and often previously politically uninvolved) behind him.

It’s fair to ask Trump why we would believe he should go some different route now than that which helped Obamacare grab hold of America. But if the answer looks like some variation on “I saw the light” or “Well, you tell me where to go with this” will we rant just the same, or will we try to take a positive approach. Especially if he keeps on being the strong horse here in spite of his sins.

Is there much difference between Obama and Trump? Not really, except for the issue of immigration, they are in favor of similar policies and have the same personalities.

Trump far superior to the sawed off little mouse Rafael Eduardo Cruz who is a hypocrite. WS owns him. He sleeps with one of ‘em. Have a great day.

I think, in the grand scheme, my use of a non-blasphemous PG-13 word ranks right up there with your failure to capitalize the word “Lord” in reference to His day. That is to say, not very high.

So the question remains - how do pro-life people reconcile Trump’s past enthusiasm for extreme abortion rights issues? How do pro-traditional marriage conservatives reconcile his, ahem, “colorful” marriage history and staunch support for SSM?

Oh the immigration thing.

If Rubio would distance himself from his role there, then we could compare the two situations. He hasn’t.

Being for something today and against it tomorrow isn’t unusual in the business world. Business pursues what is within its reach that works, and will gladly saw off what it had supported until now, once it determines it does not work. It will use AT&T today, Verizon tomorrow, based on merit. It should not be hard to out-merit Obamacare.

“God told the Israelites what to do with crap; we’re not talking about some delicate airy fairy being here.”

Fascinating. I haven’t studied the toilet aspects of the bible and how this allows us to use filthy language on the Sabbath. So, I guess God is more like an angry plumber?
My little Baptist Texas church on the plains, decades ago somehow never mentioned that.
I’ll need to dig into this.

.

I'm clearly on record on being a Donald Trump admirer, but a staunch Ted Cruz campaigner.

The other night Donald Trump said he would NOT pursue legal action against Ted Cruz, now Donald has changed his mind.

Sadly, I now admit to being "wrong" about the Cruz-Trump "dust-up" as political theater.

Apparently, Donald Trump's ego can NOT deal with being second in Iowa ... that is a BAD sign.

So sad.

Not even George S. Patton, Jr. believed he was ENTITLED to WIN every battle.

And I remember Cruz authoring fast track authority for Obama, practically guaranteeing that TPP was unbeatable.
Was Cruz supporting Obama, or just dancing like an organ grinder monkey for GS?

tsk tsk

If we have to have a lie, at least make it big. It will boggle the mind of those who have to defend against it.

I guess if we are going to look at the actual persons, we might start with general generosity. Who cares about others, who cares about self.

Then we can ask who makes lefty excuses not to do things better even when the need is crying.

Then we can ask who is more outwardly effusive, at least, about Christians.

Obama and Trump the same? Not quite.

Has Trump gone and sued Cruz? To me that seems like an unnecessary move. The world is biting at Cruz’s heels here. Trump need do nothing but stand there and observe.

And, does Trump need to wait for the NEXT state’s primary to hop on an issue? Isn’t the adage to strike while the iron is hot, not while it is cold?
