Former Chairman of the Republican National Committee, Michael Steele says, following the last Republican presidential debate in South Carolina, Donald Trump will be the Republican Party's nominee for President.
Steele, responding to a question from Rich Zeoli on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT about who can defeat Trump for the nomination, said no one can.
"I don't think you can. That window has closed and I think Donald Trump effectively closed it over the last couple of months.

I see it. The question keeps growing stronger. Why? What devious scheme are they hatching at this time? They believe Cruz to be weaker than TRUMP? Thus would enjoy being a part of their skull island thievery. Nope, that couldn’t be the reason. “Something evil this way comes.”
We all have our favorites and we hate it when our guy or gal gets hit. But there is great value in a process that produces a battle tested ready political fighting machine.
If a candidate cant survive criticism leveled by his own party members, how can he survive the pummeling they will get from dems and their media?
Trump is proving himself worthy and ready to take on the world (banned by Britain), in his attempts to correct Americas course.

The sooner this primary locks up the better. The infighting has to stop between Cruz, Trump and even Rubio. For some of us the site of destroying allies aint a good thing.
I’ll vote for either Cruz or Trump although I tend to agree more with Cruz I think Trump will be able to really get things going.

What we are seeing is just another classic cave by the Establishment Republicans, only this time it is NOT necessarily to the liberal Democrats. The Mitch McConnells and Paul Ryans of the congressional RINO caucus have given up the fight to try to place a like-minded person as the Presidential contender for 2016. Not because The Donald is a liberal himself, nor for that matter, because he is a conservative either. The congressional Republican Establishment caucus members are just not very strong negotiators, and they have been bested yet again.
The Donald has his parade, and they are forming up into a more massive band than has been seen in this country in decades.
This video shows why the tens of millions of Trump supporters like him. Trump talks to people like he’s in their living room. Others lecture and talk *at* people in a patronizing way.

Don’t panic. The vitriol is the same outside FR in the world. These are pretty desperate times, worthy of naming your man you believe is the one to repair and secure our land, and then sticking by him when others denigrate him.
Trump supporters were sailing right along with glee, pretty well proud and happy and braggadocios, to pay much mind to the occasional barbs against him, from Cruzers.
Then as TRUMP smoked the field, the TRUMP threads got trolled, the language and context of Cruz supporters reached a crescendo of slander and vitriol, it seemed to me, that required addressing, so TRUMP supporters now fire back, every time.
It will settle out.

Yes, they are starting to stir in the face of a movement. I thought Cruz seemed nervous in his interview with Chris on FOX, this morning. So much news swirling about the RNC settling down to TRUMP.
Not sure I believe it. I don’t trust Paul Ryan, McCain or McConnell to lie down just yet.
