Ted Cruz has taken more heat for his comments about âNew York valuesâ than he has anything else he has said since he was elected in 2012. Naturally, since most of the mainstream media is based out of New York, it has been high horse riding time as so many have gotten their panties in a wad over the comments. Ironically, they take more offense at what Cruz said than in Donald Trumpâs blatant birtherism. Being a birther is cool now that itâs not Barack Obama who is the subject of Trumpâs comments.
Unfortunately for Trump, who deftly (but at the same time shamelessly) evoked 9/11 as a means of responding to Ted Cruzâs comments, he cannot escape the very things he has said over the course of the last 15 years. Trump, as I have said on prior occasions is a charlatan. He is not a conservative at all. He is not now and never has been one. Outside of immigration (which is far more based on phony populism than policy), his views on taxes, healthcare, foreign policy and trade carry all the hallmarks of a progressive Democrat.

Did Cruz release a video of him taking an envelope stuffed with cash from Goldman Sachs? What about one from Citibank?
Cruz is getting desperate. But I don’t blame him now that he is losing is Iowa.

Trump being pro choice but really hating abortion is kind of like being straight but doing gay porn.

Trump is a loving father and grandfather. No one doubts that. As happens with many people as they get older and encounter real life experiences, their views change.
Trump explained quite well and quite sincerely how, with maturity and life experiences of friends deciding against abortions and having wonderful children, he became anti-abortion.
But Cruz wants us to forgive his supporting an increase in H1B visas five-fold until he got in the Presidential race? C'mon.

Trump is a progressive democrat, he should have stayed in that party and hammered Hillery for that nomination.

What the Hell is wrong with you people? Cruz is on our side. Keep this crap up and the GOPe will get a nominee.
Cruz is the only true conservative in this race and he is treated on this forum as if he is a liberal pig.
Trump is a showman who might have a few conservative positions but his track record on supporting conservative issues is mighty thin.

I am now pro-life; after years of being pro-choice:
Donald Trump shocked attendees at the conservative CPAC conference in February when he declared himself pro-life after years of supporting the pro-abortion position. Several months ago, when questioned about his position, Trump responded by saying the public "would be surprised" by his stance and, in an interview with Laura Ingraham from Fox News leading up to the conference, Trump characterized himself as "pro-life" and he repeated that apparent reversal when he told the audience at CPAC, "I am pro-life" and pledged to fight for the reversal of ObamaCare, which contains abortion funding loopholes. As the 2012 race intensifies, pro-life advocates must call upon Donald Trump to further explain his stand on important pro-life issues like Supreme Court nominations and repeal of the pro-abortion Obama healthcare law.

I changed my views to pro-life based on personal stories:
Q: Evangelicals want to feel secure that they're going to have a nominee that's solid on those social issues.
A: One thing about me, I'm a very honorable guy. I'm pro-life, but I changed my view a number of years ago. One of the primary reasons I changed [was] a friend of mine's wife was pregnant, and he didn't really want the baby. He was crying as he was telling me the story. He ends up having the baby and the baby is the apple of his eye. It's the greatest thing that's ever happened to him. And you know here's a baby that wasn't going to be let into life. And I heard this, and some other stories, and I am pro-life.
Q: So those stories did change you, they came around and changed you?
A: They changed me. Yeah, they changed my view as to that, absolutely.

I am pro-life; fight ObamaCare abortion funding:
Billionaire Donald Trump told the Conservative Political Action Conference that he's thinking about running for president. His remarks drew lots of applause and cheers from the crowd, who will play a key role in grass-roots organizing for the eventual 2012 GOP presidential nominee. "I'm well acquainted with winning," Trump said. "That's what this country needs now."

Didn’t work when Walker tried, didn’t work when Jeb tried it, won’t work now.
This is 17 year old video, and Trump has addressed all of this already.

Ted Cruz takes out a personal margin loan against his own portfolio and is “ bought and paid for” by Goldman Sachs. Donald Trump borrows 500 million from Credit Suisse, 500 million from Morgan Stanley, and he’s not bought and paid for. The reason? Trump files bankruptcy. Yeah, that Trump. He’s beholden to no one!

Cruz is not allowed to accept a loan?
And while it's been said that Trump is paying for his campaign primarily out of his own pocket, I would like to see some real
journalist examine how much of his campaign is really being financed by others...such as the GOPe or the Democrats.
