He has so micro-targeted this one segment with such obvious pandering that it’s likely to become a turn off, followed by a backfire.

Note the interview where he said, “New York values are not IOWA values, or NEW HAMPSHIRE values”. ((GROAN))

When Carson drops out, most of his support will go to Cruz. Then this will be a horse race.

That is not what my personal survey of Trump voters shows. A Carson vote is not a vote for anyone currently serving in government. When I was in Iowa in September I talked to a number of Trump supporters. They told me they would support Trump, Carson or Fiorina. Otherwise they stay home.
