Donald Trump and the Mainstream Media are foaming at the mouth over the comment Senator Ted Cruz made about New York values.
Now, all of us folks who are not New York City liberals know exactly what Senator Cruz was talking about -- and it had nothing to do with the aftermath of 9-11.
Senator Cruz was talking about cultural and political values.
Duck Dynasty values versus Bill de Blasio values.
He was referring to the permissive New York values celebrating public debauchery that would make the citizens of Sodom and Gomorrah blush. Just ask the families from the Heartland who’ve been accosted by topless women in Times Square.

1. Cruz was never going to win New York, either in the primaries or the general election. No Republican presidential candidate has carried New York since Reagan in 1984.
2. New York voters have elected and re-elected Andrew Cuomo as governor, Chuckie Schumer as Senator and Bill de Blasio as Mayor of NYC. New York values.
3. Insulting liberals that were never going to vote for you has never hurt Trump’s poll numbers and will not hurt Cruz.
The big thing that has come from this is that the GOPe and liberal media have made it clear that they support Trump over Cruz.
The GOPe are crazy and transparent.
For months they have been harping on how Trump is a fake conservative, holds liberal views, supported democrats and liberal social issues.
Endlessly.
Yet today, after Ted Cruz makes this very point in a nationally televised debate, they turn in to a lynch mob against Cruz.
That tells us something right there.
The media and the elites and even some freepers embrace NY values, that’s why we hear so much about it and not a peep when Trump calls Iowan stupid.
Good point. So supporting Trump, at least in this case, has made them intellectually dishonest. They know that liberal NYC values are different, but they cannot let Cruz get over on Trump using a line similar to Trumps sucker punch about not too many Evangelicals coming out of Cuba.
We actually DO know where Trump stood on McCain and Bill & Hillary Clinton eight short years ago. Do you?
Hint: 180 degrees differently than where he stands today.
I’ve seen some of that too. Trump’s values are showing up here, and they’re not conservative values.

Allen West said Cruz fell right into a "U-shaped ambush". I'm sure Teddy knows it all too well. Looks like Donnie has learned a thing or two about pro-level debating over the past several months. Or perhaps just having 25 years more experience in life than your opponent is helpful.

I’m amazed at what non-New Yorkers think goes on in Manhattan. They really want to believe it’s an orgy in the streets seven days a week. All I see are hard-working people walking briskly on the sidewalks, catching a quick lunch and back to the desk. Maybe if those real good values tourists from the south and Midwest didn’t gape at the naked cowboy and stuff money in his shorts,he’d go home or find something else to do.
Cruz got the free press with this deal. If he would double down now and use the opportunity to explain EXACTLY what values make NYC one of the most liberal places in this country.... and repeat it for about 2 weeks.... he could make a ton of mileage out of this.
Yet another pedantic posts to have to tell us what he really meant. Because Everyone supposedly was to “get it” from the go, and only “stupid liberals” would think otherwise?
So when can we hear from Cruz himself, and not from the “circle the wagons” club?

Heidi Cruz actually WORKED IN NYC for nearly two years, before they created a new position and office just for her in Houston so she could help her husband win the Senate primary.
I am certain there are plenty of us that are steadfast in their conpempt of NYC and all it stands for.
I have to laugh at how thin skinned the NYC types here are. The place gave me the creeps as a kid visiting there with all the grime and crowds.

Actually, from what I recall, all of the Cruz people were crowing that he had “insulted” them, and that he should just give up on winning the place.
But using “true conservative” logic, I could just say that since Iowa votes for Democrats in the presidential race every 4 years, he was correct in calling them that, and that “real conservatives” knew what he was talking about.
Taking it to 911 was cheap and tawdry. An “it’s for for the poor starving children” liberal maneuver.
But, yeah. Cruz did say there are great New Yorkers.
After Trump pulled the 911 card, Cruz should have said, “On 911 we were all New Yorkers and were all Americans. And I will defend to the death the rights of my liberal fellow Americans and protect them and all Americans from our Islamofascist enemies”.
Something like that.
But letting Trump have the last word was magnanimous enough.
Real Conservatives know what new york values means. The lefties are having a fit they are being criticized.
And whats good is Cruz isnt apologizing.
