r the past 7 months, everyone has been saying that Donald Trump has finally met his demise, only to be proven spectacularly wrong. The reason they were wrong time and time again is simple: the other candidates and the moderators always attacked Trump from the left, particularly on immigration. Instead of hurting him, it always fueled Trumpâs appeal. Americans are tired of being lectured to on the issue of immigration, and Trump was speaking to where most voters are at this point. - See more at: https://www.conservativereview.com/commentary/2016/01/cruz-schlongs-trump-trump-schlongs-jeb#sthash.WcmS9sW2.dpuf

The only problem for Trump, however, is that many people watched only the first half of the debate. - See more at: https://www.conservativereview.com/commentary/2016/01/cruz-schlongs-trump-trump-schlongs-jeb#sthash.WcmS9sW2.dpuf
It’s a three man race and Rubio is that distant third.
I thought Trump was extremely good last night.
I expected Cruz to be a bit better. I was a little disappointed.
Do not underestimate the heart of Donald. Amidst the blustery billionaire tycoon showmanship is a real loving sensitive compassionate caring guy.
But more importantly he is caring and heartfelt about issues and people that we all identify with.
Liberals claim compassion, but it is always with a political edge and generally focused on the latest victim group being “marginalized” by white middle class conservatives.
Thank you Donald for giving us a voice. Thank you for standing up to the liberal/democrat/progressive/commie/socialist bullies who for too long, have beaten down civil society, rule of law and good old fashion NORMAL PEOPLE!
Yeah ... I was one of them. I was starting to fall asleep in the second hour and had ot turn it off. Mind you I enjoyed the first hour but it just couldn’t keep me engaged after an hour.
BTW, I am no fan of Trump and think many of you are getting taken for a ride with him but all in all his debating skills have improved dramatically from the first debate and I thought he did really well last night.
Trump owned the night. Even the so called win on the Birther he won. Cruz needed to bury that argument and only seemed to dismiss it and left it open at the end. He will be challenged if he were to win and that would be messy in the General.
This little article makes me think less and less of the Conservative Review. I also did not think that I could think less of Daniel Horowitz.
Obviously, the eligibility issue is not something that can be handled during a debate with 90 second responses. Cruz could only defend himself with snark, and Trump could only repeat what he has previously maintained.
The event that Horowitz discounts, the “New York values” is the one that everyone else remembers, and stays in their minds, not the question of Cruz’s eligibility. Horowitz tried to comfort himself by stating that no one watched the last half, where Trump did the best, after superbly handling the New York values criticism.
The case is Schwartz v. Cruz, 4:16-cv-00106, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas (Houston).
A talking point that is supposed to be scientific?
I clicked and read it and Horowitz nailed nothing.
Sorry, I do find this phrase vulgar. I don’t care who uses that euphemism.
The New York values line may play well in Iowa.
It did not play well for Cruz on National TV.
On NYC values, Trump won the battle, but lost the war.
His non-sequetor reply of 9-11 smacks of jingoism. It is very hard to counter a 9-11 argument, even if it is unrelated to the point of discussion, because it is an emotional issue for all of us.
Nevertheless, Cruz has successfully established Donald Trump as a New York City resident. The rest of the country hates NYC liberalism with a vengeance, and in short time will tie Donald Trump to NYC politics, fair or not.
No standing. Next.
Better title from the unbiased Conservative Review blog would be “Cruz schlongs himself then Trump and Rubio schlong him some more”
“Trump owned the night.”
You overlook the many Boos’ of the crowd.
Cruz is offputting for many. And his attempt to denigrate Trump by trashing the residents of a major and iconic American city indicate very poor tactical judgment.
I wonder if Cruz has disgusted Northerners as much as gratuitous cheap shots at the South by GOP minions disgusts me?
