10 reasons that Goldman Sachs loan is a nightmare for Ted Cruz
Washington Post ^ | 01/14/2016 | Jennifer Rubin

Posted on 01/14/2016 9:22:14 PM PST by GilGil

1. He is still indebted to Goldman. (“As for the Goldman Sachs loan, it remains outstanding, though the balance has been reduced to between $50,000 and $100,000.”) Goldman, among other things, employs hundreds of workers on H-1B visas. Cruz used to advocate a huge increase in the number of H-1B visas, without, of course, saying he was on the hook to Goldman. Now, of course, Cruz wants to end H-1B visas. Maybe he should have taken out a loan from a bank that employed more Americans.

2. He didn’t simply “forget” to file the disclosure; he made up a self-reverential story to go with it. “Liquidate everything” really meant “get a honking-big loan from my wife’s company.” This will underscore his slipperiness on other issues, such as his stance on immigrant legalization. Can we take anything he says at face value?

The problem with having to do anything with Goldman is that you will always lose. Cruz will be cursed by this company. Whatever Goldman gets its hooks in it destroys. That is just the way it is. this company is very bad news!

“Goldman Sachs is a horrible company that destroys everything it gets its hooks in.”

Goldman Sachs is a very distinguished company that pays very well. Heidi Cruz must be a very smart and hard-working woman to become a managing director there. And I note that she began her career at Goldman immediately after suffering a brief nervous breakdown that caused the police to have to rescue her sitting by a highway in Texas. In spite of that public embarrassment, Goldman did not withdraw their job offer to Heidi Cruz. They are a high class company.

You have to remember the cardinal rule.

If Ted breaks the rules, it’s a non issue.

In this manner Ted is always seen as a perfect Conservative.

Now please knock it off.

Goldman is such a high class company that it is drowning in fines and settlements of shady deals it has made all around the globe. A simple google reveals page after page of the crap Goldman curses people with. Right!

I wish I was so devoid of the facts of how our economy works that I could spend time re-posting garbage like this and then swear by it.

That is not what will sink him. The loan and the non disclosure error is not the issue—the issue is being involved with GS and having his wife working for them is the problem. GS has been the buyer and seller of politicians and the people are on to them.

That was my point. The loan by GS is irrelevant. Being involved with GS is the kiss of death. GS is cursed and puts a curse on everyone it deals with. Cruz’ association to GS is what will destroy him. This company is such a pile of poisonous crap and is really really bad news! Just google GS and fines and you will be shocked by the mountains of stories of just the awful things GS has done to the world. It is shocking!!! Cruz will never recover from the cursed company.

So, basically you are attacking him for having an investment account at Goldman Sachs.

Which, as the spouse of a GS employee, he is required to hold his stocks and bonds in, so the account can be audited for insider trading.

Cruz will pay his obligation to them and his collateral will be returned.

Get over it. It was not a gift or a contribution.

Running a statewide campaign in Texas is very expensive and the entire amount of the GS loan was rather negligible and it is easy to see how a busy man like Sen. Cruz could forget the details of such a loan.

you are very naïve. You cannot get rid of GS like that. Cruz won’t recover from Goldman curse.

What is wrong with you? Did GS foreclose on your house? Did they steal some money from you? Did they fire you? Your wife?

I got news for you, they are a NY city business, just like Donnie Trump has, just a whole lot bigger.

All Freeport have bought products from companies that use H1B visas, So therefore every free per must support H1B visas.
