Tonight’s GOP debate was Ted Cruz’s night. He went right after Donald Trump multiple times, but in a way that came across as forceful and informed, but not nasty. He also fended off a pretty vigorous attack from Marco Rubio. His strongest points came early and against Trump, when the audience would be the largest.
Trump was runner-up. He had a good moment on Cruz’s slam on “NY Values,†but I’m not sure how defending NY values plays outside NY. His performance will confirm pre-existing views of him.

Yeah, the Trumpsters are like Ron Paulites....they put a lot of stock in internet voting. Last time around they were urging each other to vote before the debate ended.

Trump is a insult to all of America except New York.
Some sort of values problem, according to what someone said, somewhere, the other day, or so...but they said it. I think it’s a big deal, a really big deal.
After all the posts I’ve seen wishing NYC would fall off the face of the earth into the ocean, suddenly we’re supposed to pretend we support pro-queer, pro-abortion, anti-gun values.

Have you seen Jeb’s and other GOPe crowds at their Rallies compare to Trump?
The overwhelming applauds Nikki Haley received tells you everything about the audience. Totally rigged. I never seen so many Bush supporters. Although you never see them at his rallies and he does not even get double digit numbers in any poll. Like I said... Totally rigged by Fox Business.
How are those two things related? Does the state of NY now decide the election? If so, then we would never have Republicans win.
Trump has a personality disorder ... couldn’t control his expression when Cruz was talking. In contrast, Cruz always maintains a calm, pleasant demeanor.
I was a Cruz first...Trump second person at first.
I don’t think Trump has the temperament to be President, but lots of egomaniacs have held the office. So...
