The young Navy lieutenant who apologized to the Iranians after U.S. boats entered Iran’s territory has been identified as Lt. David Nartker.
The 27-year-old grew up in Chicago and now lives in Ohio. Videos on his Facebook page show him firing weapons.

Nartker was among the 10 U.S. sailors who were captured by Iran earlier this week. The sailors were later released.
But he found himself at the center of an international uproar after Iran released footage showing an interrogator haranguing him about being in Iranian waters.
“It was a mistake,†Nartker is heard responding. “It was our fault and we apologize for our mistake.â€
On Sean Hannity's show on Fox on Wednesday, there were questions over whether the apology could be a violation of the U.S. Military code of conduct.
But former Navy SEAL Chris Heban told INSIDE EDITION: "It is quite possible they were coerced or threatened into an apology. It certainly doesn't make us look good."
The Iranians also released images of his crew kneeling in submission with their hands locked behind their heads. A female sailor was forced to cover her head in keeping with Muslim law.
Senator John McCain, who lived through six years of torture as a P.O.W. in Vietnam, did not hide his anger at the “humiliating†incident.
“This is one hell of a propaganda coup,†he said.

Really? As I see it there have been many before who had guns held to their heads and yet, they repeated only their name, rank and serial number, knowing it would be their last spoken words. THIS is how far our military has fallen, that they would actually apologize to a terrorist state that has murdered thousands of their brothers. I am an American Christian woman and I can say without hesitation that no one would make me wear a hijab, they would have to kill me first.
To apologize like that, especially on video, is a direct violation of the UCMJ.
And yes, I have worn the uniform.

IMO the senior officer present knew right down to his Corfams that the chain of command would impale him on a stake if he opened fire—and survived.
Should have fired anyway, he is never getting promoted again due to this. He is lucky he escaped with his head.

I’m thinking that if they had opened fire, the Kenyan Commie would have made sure that their deaths would have been meaningless. Under those circumstances, and standing between his crew and a corrupt chain of command, I see the LT’s responsibility as keeping his men alive.
Even if he goes ahead and punches out, at least he will be able to reflect that no American lives were lost to no purpose on his watch.

You are missing the fact that the Iranians are doing the filming and therefore you are being shown only what the Iranians want you to see.
The sole source of that rumor is one interpretation of what congressman Louis Golmert [sp?] said. After looking at what he said it seems someone was reading a lot more into his comment than he probably meant.
