Obama's failings among reasons for Trump's rise
San Jose Mercury ^ | 1/13/16 | Victor Davis Hanson

Three truths fuel Donald Trump.

One, Barack Obama is the Dr. Frankenstein of the supposed Trump monster.

If a charismatic, Ivy League-educated, landmark president who entered office with unprecedented goodwill and both houses of Congress on his side could manage to wreck the Democratic Party while turning off 52 percent of the country, then many voters feel that a billionaire New York dealmaker could hardly do worse.

Making Machiavellian Mexico pay for a border fence or ejecting rude and interrupting Univision anchor Jorge Ramos from a press conference is no more absurd than allowing more than 300 sanctuary cities to ignore federal law by sheltering undocumented immigrants.

Very true.

The RNC/GOP’s failings haven’t hurt Trump, either.

Obama's failings?

I'd say he's succeeded quite well.

Trump’s a nihilist ? Does Hanson even understand what a nihilist is....hint: it’s not Trump, or the family he has nurtured & sent off in to adulthood.

Thank you for referencing that article artichokegrower. As usual, please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

”Obama's failings among reasons for Trump's rise”

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponents Argument

Why single out Obama?

Patriots are probably very disgusted with all three branches of the corrupt federal government. And making last-term Obama the scapegoat for all federal government corruption seems like a way for the corrupt, Washington Cartel-supporting media to get peoples minds off of the corrupt legislative and judicial branches.

Remember in November !

So if patriots elect Trump, or whatever conservative they elect, they will also need to elect a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support the president.

In fact, note that such a Congress will also probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices who likewise help to empower bad-apple presidents to do unconstitutional things.

Correct, that is the main reason Trump is riding high in almost all polls nationwide. Voters have finally realized politicians are indeed all talk and reverse action after elected. The complete capitulation to Obama's Omnibus bill was the last straw.

They are illegal aliens.
Immigrants are people who apply in their home country to be Americans, wait their turn, pay their fees, learn the language and comply with the laws.

The political class are thieves! Pure and simple.

Trump is a capitalist and a good American patriot.

Voters are tired of the political classless act.

They are more slaves than thieves. The career politicians can NOT survive in the fiercely competitive political arena without their ultra-rich donors. Every one of them! Repubs and Dems. That is why they give us smooth speeches BEFORE elections and after elected, go back to serving their sugar daddy rich donors, by relentlessly pushing the cheap labor express of more H1-B visa workers, more low education legal immigrants, and path to legal status to illegals. Even the supposedly most conservative candidate, Rafael Edward Cruz does it.

Path to Legal Status for Illegals

Cheap Foreign Workers on H1-B visa
