Poll: Trump nears 50% in 3-way race, GOP likes 'strong, bold' over 'conservative'
Washington Examiner ^ | 1/13/2016 | Paul Bedard

Republicans appear more interested in having a "strong" and "bold" leader than a "true conservative."

According to the poll, Trump wins strong and bold hands down, while Cruz is seen as the true conservative. Rubio wins the title of "typical politician" and "establishment candidate" in YouGov's test of candidate descriptions.

<<< “ After the crap pulled by the GOPe last night to sell out America, I say Go Trump!” >>>

It is just beginning.

This is, in the end, about delegates. Watch for the non-stop barrage of incoming against TRUMP, and unfriendly state governors, like Nikki Haley, leaning on their state delegates against TRUMP, or RNC Delegate Rules changes, State Rules, also, or possibly a brokered convention just to mess with TRUMP’s earned delegate numbers.

We need a TRUMP sweep to be safe.

The Marco/Jeb Establishment donors are all busy trying to take out Cruz, so they can then consolidate all the other candidates support, take it to 51% against TRUMP.

Cruz is used as the mule for carrying the clock. He gives time to all other candidates Kasich, Christie, Bush, etc., etc., to consolidate behind the GOPE candidate, whoever that will be, and have enough numbers to tie TRUMP.

Cruz is in the way, but will be dispatched right on time.

get enough establishment support to overcome the outsider polling advantage.

Why do you continue to attack other Freepers, instead of dealing with the candidates ?

This is why we hear Cruz trumpeting every tiny endorsement.
They are elected state officials and they each count as one delegate, except for Robinson the duck guy. Cruz would like to start a wave of delegate endorsements and blowing the delegate endorsement horn is meant to encourage more of the same.

TRUMP may have endorsers who are silent, or whom TRUMP is keeping quiet, but chances are there is hell to pay to any state elected official daring to endorse TRUMP at this time, due to top down pressure.

Quit whining like a liberal and stand for something conservative for once.

Rita, I ‘m dreading the next two weeks before the Iowa vote.

What we’ve experienced here and in the media will be even more hellacious.

No holds barred as the anti Trumps pursue their agenda.

I keep Trump and his family in prayer always!

Very good point!   A lot of guys who are 100% on the issues don't get anything done!

Like Trump said early-on, the 2016 election is going to be about competence.

OK, Rita! The election process is a kind of three dimensional chess match.

Better yet, it's like Shogi, the Japanese board game.

One of the interesting things you can do in Shogi, that you cannot do in chess: When you capture a piece, the piece becomes your own resource and you can drop the piece anywhere on the board to attack your opponent.

It's kind of like a Ninja :- )   And in that way it mirrored the civil war tactics among Japanese samurai. When you capture, another guy's army, they then fight on your side.

So modern politics is similar.

I ask you to consider this regarding Trump’s detractors.

I have noticed a tactic I call “reverse push-polling” whereby the “pollster” asks questions designed to impugn the veracity of Trump’s stated policy objectives. Upon receiving a valid response from the Trump supporter, the pollster simply moves on to the next Trump supporter and asks the exact same questions.

Another sharp turn of thought...

It's great to be classified as "bold" and "strong", but without smart, it could dangerous.   You might get us into a meaningless war.

Darth Trump understood this point.

Sounds like someone finally figured out why Trump is leading and it doesn’t matter what he used to be... and Rubio is the establishment... and Cruz is the conservative. The strong and bold is the ringer.

A 1950's America ... factory whistles and all.

Yeah. With a thriving subsidized earth-friendly ethanol industry to go with it -- Trump is all for the ethanol subsidies. And a nice government health care safety net, where everybody is taken care of -- "it'll be terrific."

Cruz is the guy who'd most likely take us back to the 1950s America by eliminating all the excess government servant system that has paralyzed its masters. Limited government conservatism via the Constitution would restore religious, free market, and civil liberty. If you don't want to sell a wedding cake to homosexuals you don't have to. Get the federal government out of education, freeways, transportation, health care, you name it. Then we'd be looking at something more like the 1950s, the era of the coolest automobiles in human history.

All Trump would do would be to sell a vision. Implementing it is another story. I know that as a billionaire, he's kinda third tier, sorry. The only reason he's famous is because he made himself famous by engaging the MSM. Otherwise no one would ever have heard of him.

And that's a fact.

I think people overthink Trump

He builds buildings that make money

He knows labor, unions and chain of command

He uses best qualified peo0ple

He has an idealistic view and the connections to make that idealism a reality

Cruz is Supreme Court ... why does everybody want to limit Cruz to 4 or 8 years .... give him life !
