This line of attack makes no sense to me. What Cruz supporter will change their mind because of this?

Not this one and I had been very open to happily voting for Trump, if Cruz wasn’t the nominee but that is no longer the case. I’m done with Trump. Done.

Apparently 40 percent of Cruz’s supporters don’t even know he is Canuckistinian, and 25 percent are polled as believing that someone born outside the country shouldn’t be President, not even getting into whether they are NBCs or not.

So basically, a good chunk of his supporters, most of whom are the hand me downs from Ben Carson to begin with.

Only 32% of Iowa Republicans think someone born in another country should be allowed to serve as President, to 47% who think such a person shouldn’t be allowed to serve as President. Among that segment of the Republican electorate who don’t think someone foreign born should be able to be President, Trump is crushing Cruz 40/14.

None.

But it does put a cap on Cruz' support.

No Cruz supporters will change their minds ... in fact, this will make them stronger.

How dare Trump to tell the guy in second place and gaining to drop out.

I hope it’s not too late for people to realize that Trump is an egotistical bully but it’s kinda become a religion with Trump supporters ... they are fanatically devoted.

I’ll just be glad when the debates get down to maybe four people so that Cruz and Trump will have the opportunity to square off. Trump never does well in debates...at least I’ve never thought so. Of course his supporters run to Drudge and vote that he won, whether they even watched them or not.

” What Cruz supporter will change their mind because of this?”

It’s a court, not Cruz supporters, that will decide whether Cruz is eligible to be President.

Boy oh boy Cruz should have gotten this issue out of the way a long time ago.

The play is not to convince a Cruz supporter, it is to bait Cruz into any action in this area so the press can pretend it is legitimate. The right course for Ted is to ignore the attacks and be above the fray. The more the birthers ramp up the volume, the more they look like the crazies. Trump has managed to make Senator Cruz look like the reasonable politician and now he is doubling down to make him look like the sane one. In a weird way, I could believe Trump is trying to help Cruz.
