Now that he has raised questions about Sen. Ted Cruz's (R-TX) Canadian birth and American citizenship, Donald Trump has started playing Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA" before campaign rallies, according to reports in The Weekly Standard and the Texas Tribune.
The introduction of the song may be an attempt by the real estate mogul to troll Cruz as many openly wonder whether he is eligible to run for president.
Cruz was born in Canada, but his mother was an American citizen, earning Cruz citizenship in the United States at birth. The Texas senator has repeatedly said that he is eligible to run for president.

Seems apparent. Maybe it will be better after Iowa.
A confrontation between the two front runners, Cruz and Trump, was bound to happen around now. I knew it was coming and was not looking forward to it playing out on FR. But here it is.
Man, I'd send Trump a campaign donation if he put down Springsteen like that!
THANK-YOU SO MUCH!
We were getting a slightly different perpspective......wondering why the floor was a problem......why they didn’t let people in...and then did......why the crowd seemed with him, but quieter!
Thank- you!
One obvious fact....His speech was a bit shorter because he didn’t have to take time out for disrupters!
It was inevitable that they start clashing - folks shouldn’t take it personally because the other guy says something naughty about their choice....
I’m on Trump’s side, chapped ass.
We can express criticism without being considered “the enemy,” can’t we?
And he has made bad moves. That doesn’t mean he’ll lose or that he won’t rise above. But he would be better off without bad moves.
Does criticizing his bad moves chap your ass?
Seriously. Get the F over it.
LOL.
Your candidate was the one doing the buying and selling of politicians.
You object to bought and paid for politicians while supporting the one who does the buying and selling.
Weird.
the floor was full, up by the stage, on the gym floor itself. the sound/media/lights pit was set up about 2/3 back from the stage, and no one was standing near that. i am not sure if they were not allowed to, or there was room elsewhere to stand.
as for turning people away, he mentioned that the fire marshal had done it as the building was at capacity...which would explain the floor spaces, but then the fire marshal let them all in, anyway.
cant explain why the crowd was quieter....I have been to a few of these things over the years, and this one was pretty calm, by comparison. I got the sense that people were just focusing on what he was saying, and did not interrupt with cheering and clapping a whole lot. it was kind of weird, to be honest.
i have been to a few Cruz rallys here in Cedar falls already this cycle, as well. Regardless of candidate, I get the sense of a palpable anger, from everyone. There is a tsunami building, I think.
Outstanding.
I figure the knock down drag out is going to be a cage match with long knives when the Dem is selected.
Thank-you again!
Your first person account is outstanding!
Yep
The pissing off Bruce Springsteen part is just icing on the cake.
So Trump.
Uh huh.
Absolutely he is! Otherwise it'll be more difficult for him to tap Cruz for VP. Clear up the issue now.
Having publicly said he believes Cruz to be ineligible then in order to ask Cruz to be his VP then Trump would have to admit he was wrong. When has that ever happened?
LOL!
I dread hearing it because of Bruce Springsteen’s abominable croaking.
Look at that pic
Conservative females’ new heartthrob pin-up, LOL
