A new video has just been released in which Pope Francis very clearly expresses his belief that all of the major religions are different paths to the same God. He says that while people from various global faiths may be "seeking God or meeting God in different ways" that it is important to keep in mind that "we are all children of God". This is the most recent example that shows that the Pope has completely abandoned any notion that a relationship with God is available only through Jesus Christ. As he has done throughout his papacy, he continues to lay the groundwork for the coming one world religion, and yet hardly anyone seems upset by this.
When I first heard of this new video, I was so stunned that I thought that it might be a joke. But the truth is that this video is very real. The following comes from an article that was put out by Catholic News Agency...

So is he saying that a belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God is not necessary to get to Heaven?
The proffered summary may not match the discourse given by Francis, given of course that we have not seen all of the latter either and it might say some other things elsewhere.
This sounds a lot like a C. S. Lewis theory of private salvations, of rescues “by being placed on the right path.” I wouldn’t work up too much self-justifying furor until working out the details.
Really? So why shouldn't I worship the one that says I can murder infidels and rape their women? What's the down side?
What a strange man to be the leader of the Catholic faith.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. None come unto the Father but by me.”
To me, that indicates that the Pope is not a Christian.
Religions, such as Christianity and Judaism point to the same God. Cults, such as Islam, point to Satan.

What do u think of this pope?
The question is more subtle (I didn’t say wrong, I said subtle) than we might think. How did Old Testament salvations happen? A meeting with the Christ had to happen, and at least some psalmists seem to be talking as if they had had such a meeting. (Which would be something to sing about, all right.)
Lets make sure that this, or something akin to it, is not what Francis had in mind.
There are a lot of “Jesus clubs” that say “If you do not believe in Jesus EXACTLY OUR WAY then it doesn’t count.” And God is shaking His head in heaven saying if you clowns only knew!

Taht is an opinion. You’re entitled to it. Others do not agree.
There are, for example, versions of the Golden Rule in all religions — and other areas of commonality.
That is exactly what a born again Christian told me back in the late 70s. We were discussing this while on night duty at the summer camp at which we were counselors. He was not liberal in any way, shape or form.
Peel away the specifics from all religions and there is Jesus Christ.
True enough . . . except that the language that mystics (such as Meister Eckhardt) speak is not the Gospel. Therein lies the problem.
Um, since when has a Pope of Roman Catholicism ever been a Christian?
