Mom Becca Edwards is "pissed" about a racist remark that her state's governor made, and she's calling him out on it, offering her own biracial family as an example of how very wrong he is.
Maine Gov. Paul LePage issued his offensive comment at a town hall meeting in Bridgton on Jan. 6 while speaking about the influx of heroin in the Pine Tree State. "These are guys with the name D-Money, Smoothie, Shifty -- these types of guys -- they come from Connecticut and New York, they come up here, they sell their heroin, they go back home," the Republican blasted.
"Incidentally, half the time they impregnate a young white girl before they leave, which is a real sad thing because then we have another issue we have to deal with down the road."
Though the crowd at the town meeting didn't immediately react, social media's response was swift -- and seething. The Portland Press Herald reports that Marlon Marshall, Hillary Clinton's director of state campaigns and political engagement, issued a statement calling LePage's comments "racist rants," while Maine Democratic Party Chairman Phil Bartlett dubbed them "outrageous" and Michael Tyler, the Democratic National Committee's director of African-American media, declared them "disgusting."
But in Edwards's now-viral Facebook response, the self-described "white girl in Maine," took it one step further and called for LePage's ouster. "Last week the governor in Maine, my state, suggested to the world that if one were to see me (the white girl) and my daughter (the biracial girl) walking down the street, that she is a product of my involvement with a drug dealer from out of state. And even worse, that she wasn't wanted," wrote the mother in her Jan. 9 post, which has been shared more than 216,000 times in just two days.

Do you say they are a beautiful family because she is white with a half white, black kid or do you know them personally?

That is typical with liberals, see two from a different race and go out of their way to make talk or say nice things about them . Get two white people and the same liberal will not even notice them

Don’t know if this woman is a Democrat, but I don’t see all truth in this Governor’s comments, no matter one’s political affiliation.
This Becca lady is the exception to the rule and she knows it. For the most part the Governor was correct. This begs the question; why do 25% of black males marry outside their race?
He was referring to the ‘half of the time’ the drug dealers come into town, not ‘half of the time’ there is a biracial birth. I’d say his statement was edgy, but there is an element of truth to the way drug dealers operate — and not just with a particular color of women, but ALL women.
black females won’t put up with their crap. That is not my answer, but off most black guys I have worked with, plus they say white women are easy and dumb.
So we are not allowed to condemn patterns of behavior if there are ANY exceptions that can be found? If hypothetically 100 black guys go to Maine to sell Heroin and impregnate 100 girls we can condemn it, but if 1 black non-drug dealing guy marries a girl in Maine and impregnates her we cant condemn the 100 bad guys?
I DON’T. I know very, very, few young woman that get knocked-up.
The woman complaining did not/would not/not ever vote for a Conservative. She is likely a hard left, liberal progressive, Obama/Clinton voter who probably takes offense that the Governor lives and breathes.

I'd probably walk that back or ask for that statement to be removed if I was you. It's simply not true and it can be used to paint you in a pretty bad light.

I have not noticed black, female bla bla much before until lately.
I saw a thread where she was arguing with others constantly and someone posted her words how she supported or supports Clinton or how Clinton was good.
Then came a bunch of religious quotes at everyone who disagreed with her.
now I see her saying this family is beautiful, not based on that she knows them , but based on what she saw. White woman with half a white kid.
