Former Reagan Adviser Art Laffer: GOP Will 'Landslide' in 2016 -- 45, 46, 47 States Out of the 50
Breitbart ^ | 01/11/2016 | Trent Baker

On the Sunday broadcast of "The Cats Roundtable" on New York City's AM 970, host John Catsimatidis spoke about the upcoming 2016 presidential election with economist Arthur Laffer, a former member of President Ronald Reagan's economic policy advisory board.

Laffer not only predicted a victory for the GOP, but he would be "surprised" if they did not take as many as 47 of the 50 states.

"I would be surprised if the Republicans don't take 45, 46, 47 states out of the 50," he said. "I mean, I think we're going to landslide this election."

"I think Donald Trump is phenomenal, I think Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) has done a great job, I even like Jeb Bush. I think Jeb Bush is great, he did a wonderful job in Florida. Chris Christie -- phenomenal," Laffer added.

He later said Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton's "day is over."

Phyllis Schlafly is amazing. Some great Freeper turned me on to the The Barry Goldwater 1964 Campaign 50th Anniversary Forum. We are watching history repeat itself.

If you have 9 minutes watch from 6:10- 15:39 of this video with Schlafly describing how the establishment of the Republican Party takes out grassroots candidates. This is really timely...

Arghh. I wish our side would not make grandiose predictions. No one can possibly know the landscape 9 months down the road.

The days of a 40+ state landslide are over. Democrats will never stray to vote for a Republican and Republicans will not stray to vote for a Democrat.

Hillary has 263 EV’s in the bag

The Republican candidate has 206 EV’s in the bag.

4 state are all that matter. CO, FL, VA and OH.

Hillary just needs one to be elected. The Republican candidate will need all 4.

So much for Art Laffer- Trump is indeed a phenomenon, Paul, Bush, Christie, forget about them. This casts doubt on Laffer's credibility. But 45-47 states, well, maybe.

Very sobering are those electoral vote numbers; only four or five states really matter. It’s like that in a lot of state legislatures too; in TX there are only four or five swing districts in the state House. And only one swing district for the U.S. House (No. 23).

I dont think Hillary has 263 EV in the bag. She wont win NY if Trump is the nominee, and most likely wont win NJ either.

Trump is a legend in these two states.

Mrs. Bill can win without AR, but without AR there would have never been a Mrs. Bill! Arkansans have made some dumb choices over the years, but they mean well.

Unfortunately, voters keep forgetting voter fraud. Obama did not win the last election. Republicans knew it and did nothing. As usual. If Trump is the nominee this time and the dems pull this fraud crap again, Trump will not put up with it. He will go bat-shit crazy and will spend a fortune if need be to get to the bottom of it. No one else has that kind of commitment.

I agree completely. dimmanazi voter fraud has always been ignored. Trump won’t ignore it. Cruz just might not, either.

Trump will never win NY of NJ, unless he runs as a Democrat. 0bama won both states with 60% of the vote both times. People in these states don’t look at name, they look at part affiliation.

Laffer should be laughed out of the public spotlight. Threw up in my mouth a bit a few months back when the same clown mentioned Odunga was doing a fine job with the economy.

That wouldn’t explain Christy, Giuliani, Pataki. They will consider there own home grown. They don’t care for outsiders so much.

You got a point. But Christie, Guiliani and Pataki are liberal Republicans. Trump, at least for right now, is running as a conservative. If Trump pivots left and comes out in favor of abortion, homo marriage and amnesty, then maybe he has a shot in those states.
