Not a fan...but the news makes me feel old.
I saw the Lets Dance tour. He was an incredible performer.

Also, Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert and Midnight Special.
Good memories.
Didn’t know he was sick. RIP.
Yes, that is a beautiful Christmas song by one of the oddest duets ever.

I was never a big Bowie fan but “Space Oddity” was my early favorite.
Then I heard “The Man Who Sold The World” and was blown away. It was also a favorite of Walter Bishop.
Strange...and quite interesting video of “The Man Who Sold The World”:

Just yesterday I finished reading Clapton’s autobiography.
Surprised to learn that he is an avid hunter, gun collector and fly-fisherman.

I remember someone referring to this one as “Dancing In The Sheets” when talk about Jagger and Bowie having sex together emerged. Jagger really dominates, being almost entirely responsible for making it as good as it is, IMO.
Hoax. His wife knows nothing about it.
Same thing here. Love that particular song though. Can't recall that other one you mentioned, but will give it a listen.
crap. im really sorry for this. had no idea.
Just checked it out on YouTube and didn't really care for it. In any case, thanks for linking.

Bowie been creating music for about 50 years. 25 studio albums, plus movie soundtracks, parts in many movies, an off-broadway play that’s running right now, etc.
Another one of those artists who's always been around. Saw him during his Heroes tour.
No longer - RIP.
RIP
I dropped out of pop culture in 76 or 7 ... started my long journey towards Conservative politics .... in a convoluted way

Ground Control to Major Tom
Ground Control to Major Tom
Take your protein pills and put your helmet on
Ground Control to Major Tom (Ten, Nine, Eight, Seven, Six)
Commencing countdown, engines on (Five, Four, Three)
Check ignition and may God’s love be with you (Two, One, Liftoff)
This is Ground Control to Major Tom
You’ve really made the grade
And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it’s time to leave the capsule if you dare
This is Major Tom to Ground Control
I’m stepping through the door
And I’m floating in a most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today
For here
Am I sitting in a tin can
Far above the world
Planet Earth is blue
And there’s nothing I can do
Though I’m past one hundred thousand miles
I’m feeling very still
And I think my spaceship knows which way to go
Tell my wife I love her very much she knows
Ground Control to Major Tom
Your circuit’s dead, there’s something wrong
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you “Here am I floating round my tin can
Far above the Moon
Planet Earth is blue
And there’s nothing I can do.”
I did a double take when I saw "Duncan Jones". Had no idea that his father was David Bowie.
That is most certainly a very, very talented family.
