LG's fridge lets you see what's inside without opening the door

LG unveiled a bunch of new things at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show...One of its new products is a fridge that looks like a giant smart phone. But the funny looking fridge comes with some innovative features.

The first is a feature that lets you knock on the right fridge door to view contents without actually opening it up. This keeps food fresher and prevents you from grazing.

The second is a smart sensor detector at the foot of the fridge that opens the door automatically when your hands are full of groceries.

Nothing prevents me from gazing is I can get to the food, not even a stony glare from the missus.

What’s this thing cost? If it was a very low-dollar option it might be worthwhile. Otherwise,what’s the point?

Too bad that LG has terrible product reliability and even worse (if it can be believed) customer service. I will NEVER have another LG--or Sony--product in my house.

It’s very pricey. Similar to the variable tint glass being used on some high end cars.
