Donald Trump Targets Ted Cruz [and it's helping Cruz]
Wall Street Journal ^ | January 10, 2016 | Heather Haddon and Janet Hook

Donald Trump is taking aim at Republican presidential rival Sen. Ted Cruz, a tactical shift that could be risky on two fronts: It may have come too late, and the Texas senator might actually be benefiting from the attacks......

For Mr. Cruz, being under attack by other Republicans is a badge of honor, another backer said. "It's a quasi-endorsement of Cruz to the grass roots," said Saul Anuzis, former Michigan GOP chairman.

Polls show a growing number of Trump backers see Mr. Cruz as their second choice. Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler said that when the campaign began, polls showed that only 4% of Trump backers saw his boss as their second choice. A new poll by NBC/SurveyMonkey finds that number has risen to 39%.

The latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll found that 66% of Trump voters said they would consider supporting Mr. Cruz -- far more than other major candidates....

Listen, I’ve read all of your posts on this thread. You’re either drunk or you think it’s cute to hurl insults, taunt people, make claims about whom people you don’t know are voting for, and other childish antics. You seem like a perfect Trump supporter.

You sent me mail. It’s got a time stamp. I replied. Now, you’re calling me a stalker? Are you taking any prescription medicine?

“Get lost?” What are you in fifth grade? And how are you done with me? You’re not even coming up with good sophistry to support your candidate. You’re revealing yourself very well.

Your guy can’t win. Deal with it. If Trump gets the nomination, which looks likely at this point, will you not vote, write in Cruz, or vote for the Democrat? Reveal yourself! I’ve said numerous times I would vote for Cruz if he wins the nomination.

I thought you said you were done with me. Now, you’re back to tell me whom I’ll vote for? Do you do this type of thing to the people you work with, family, “friends,” or associates?

I'm glad to hear that none of you Cruz supporters use anything that was built or created using eminent domain.

So you are in favor of using eminent domain to take property from one private citizen and give it to another private citizen or company, not for public use but so the 2nd party (usually a crony capitalist like Trump) can make more money??? Gee, I remember when the Kelo decision came out, conservatives were outraged. I guess since it is Trump who benefits from it, now the Kelo decision is on the side of the angels...

Trump who obviously does not know or pay attention to Cruz’s political campaign history are destined to repeat another nasty GOP campaigner, David DoWorst.

Posting it in big type and creating a false equivalency between citizen at birth and natural born citizen is just duplicitous at this point.

So many posters have provided the documentation that born a citizen is not what was meant by the founders or what has been upheld by courts as sufficient to be considered a natural born citizen, eligible for President/VP.

Do I want Cruz disqualified in a word NO! Do I want us to follow the Constitution and the system of Government laid out by our Founders YES! I would like the issue examined honestly and the parties to agree on a standard for the candidates they will support in future. Cruz cannot be a natural born citizen by the original standards. I don’t know what this will mean for this election but if the bastardization of our Constitutional protections continue America will no longer be a republic, one Nation indivisible with liberty & Justice for all, but will instead resemble the Banana Republic of the Liberal’s dreams.

That is a pretty superficial analysis and incorrect to boot.
Wikipedia FWIW
Vera Coking is a retired homeowner in Atlantic City, New Jersey whose home was the focus of a prominent eminent domain case involving Donald Trump.

In 1961, Coking and her husband bought the property at 127 South Columbia Place as a summertime retreat for $20,000.[1]

In the 1970s, Penthouse magazine publisher Bob Guccione offered Coking $1 million for her property in order to build the Penthouse Boardwalk Hotel and Casino. She declined the offer, and Guccione started construction of the hotel-casino in 1978 around the Coking house, but ran out of money in 1980 and construction stopped. The steel framework structure was finally torn down in 1993.[2]

In 1993, Donald Trump bought several lots around his Atlantic City casino and hotel, intending to build a parking lot designed for limousines.[3] Coking, who had lived in her house at that time for about 35 years, refused to sell. When Coking refused to sell to Trump, the city of Atlantic City condemned her house, using the power of eminent domain. Her designated compensation was to be $251,000,[4] about one quarter of what Guccione had offered her 10 years earlier.

With the assistance of the Institute for Justice, Coking fought the local authorities, and eventually prevailed.[5] Superior Court Judge Richard Williams ruled that, because there were “no limits” on what Trump could do with the property, the plan to take Coking’s property did not meet the test of law. But Williams’ ruling did not reject the practice of using eminent domain to take private property from one individual and transferring it to another, which would eventually be upheld by the Supreme Court of the United States in Kelo v. City of New London.

Two other properties that prevailed against eminent domain eventually did sell: Sabatini’s restaurant received $2.1 million and a pawnshop sold for $1.6 million. Their lots became part of a large lawn flanking a taxi stand for Trump’s casino.[1][6] Coking remained in her house until 2010, when she moved to a retirement home in the San Francisco Bay Area near her grandson, Ed Casey.[citation needed]

Casey subsequently tried to sell the house, putting it on the market in 2011 with an initial asking price of $5 million.[1][7] By September 2013 the price had reduced to $1 million,[8] but it still did not sell as Atlantic City continued to suffer the lingering effects of the financial crisis of 2007-08 and over-building during the boom that preceded it.

The property was finally sold for $530,000 in an auction on July 31, 2014.[9] Neither the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority nor the owners of Trump Plaza expressed any interest in the auction.[1] The buyer was Carl Icahn, who held the debt on Trump Entertainment, owner of Trump Plaza. He subsequently demolished the house.[10]

There is no compelling authority. This will never be settled because, by US Law, no one will have standing to bring a law suit.

Current law says a person born to a US citizen outside the USA is a citizen. By current law there are only two types of citizen, natural and naturalized.

The only instances of Natural Born Citizen brought up were by the Founders. Many of the good things they figured into the Constitution required and assumed that only honorable persons would be elected.

The birther conundrum with nobama centered on the law at that time relating to his underage mother not being able to confer citizenship if he were born outside the USA. Thus their dire need to cook up a fake Hawaii birthing.

And you nor anyone else that did not donate to Trump will have any say or sway on how he conducts the Presidency, so don’t come here crying when your Pied Piper turns out to not be very conservative.
