Trump: Kim Jong Un deserves 'credit' for taking out rivals
The Hill ^ | January 9, 2016 | Bradford Richardson

Republican primary front-runner Donald Trump says North Korean communist dictator Kim Jong-un deserves "credit" for the cutthroat efficiency with which he disposes of his political foes.

"If you look at North Korea, this guy, he's like a maniac, OK?" Trump said at a rally in Ottumwa, Iowa, on Saturday.

"And you've got to give him credit: How many young guys - he was like 26 or 25 when his father died - take over these tough generals and all of a sudden, you know, it's pretty amazing when you think of it. How does he do that?" he added.

“Even though it is a culture, and it’s a culture thing, he goes in, he takes over, he's the boss. It's incredible."

After North Korea's government said it successfully tested a hydrogen bomb earlier this week, Trump called the authoritarian leader a "madman playing around with nukes" and a "total nut job."

But he also insinuated that Kim had some admirable qualities.

"I mean, it's amazing that a young guy would go over and take over," Trump said Thursday on Fox News' "On the Record." "You know, you would have thought that these tough generals would have said no way this is gonna happen when the father died.

"So he's gotta have something going for him, because he kept control, which is amazing for a young person to do," he added.

Trump has previously praised other world leaders with less-than-stellar human rights records.

He called Russian President Vladimir Putin a "highly respected" man in global affairs, after the Russian strongman called Trump "bright and talented."

He called him a maniac. That’s not a compliment.

It's the ....Yeah, but ya gotta give him credit.....tone that is better left unsaid.

Will be interesting if the Hive latches onto this like they have with the Birther matter.

You've got to give that Hitler guy credit for the way he managed to take over Germany.

Lol! And Mao...

Here's former Obama communications director, Anita Dunn, praising mass-murderer Mao Tse Tung and his communist revolution before an audience of graduating ** high-schoolers**!("St. Andrews Episcopal school at the Washington National Cathedral"). A video link is provided at the end of this post.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Anita Dunn: "The third lesson and tip actually comes from two of my favorite political philosophers, Mao Tse Tung and Mother Teresa. Not often coupled with each other, but the two people that I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point, which is: You're going to make choices. ... But here's the deal: These are your choices; they are no one else's.

"In 1947, when Mao Tse Tung was being challenged within his own party on his own plan to basically take China over, Chiang Kai-Shek and the nationalist Chinese held the cities, they had the army. ... They had everything on their side. And people said 'How can you win? How can you do this against all of the odds against you?'

"And Mao Tse Tung says, 'You fight your war and I'll fight mine.' You don't have to accept the definition of how to do things. ... You fight your war, you let them fight theirs. Everybody has their own path."..."

Policies implemented under Mao Tse Tung, including the civil war, the Great Leap Forward, the Cultural Revolution, and persecution in Tibet, among other policies, led to death of an estimated 65 million people, according to The Black Book of Communism (Harvard University Press), which is considered by scholars as one of the best sources on communist atrocities.

Mao also outlawed religion and sent at least 2.5 million people to “re-education camps,” called “laogai,” which were similar to the slave-labor camps in the Gulag of the Soviet Union. An estimated 1,000 laogai reportedly are still in operation today

Imm a huge Trump supporter but when he goes off half cocked spewing idiotic comments like this, I start to wonder.

BEWARE: There's a list getting started, I hear.

I wouldn't laugh.

These are the same type of people who will someday put you and I and everyone else who tells the truth about the Trumpster on a “list.”

Strange act for people who supposedly favor limiting the power of the federal government to put all those who disagree with their hero on a list and label them with a disorder(TDS)

“Take a deep breath. No, those quotes are not false, but the meaning being attributed to them is. This is what I said in a previous post on the subject, and represents my thoughts on it:

If you want to deal with your enemies, you have to be able to honestly assess their strengths and weaknesses. Anyone without an agenda to push could see that that’s what Trump was engaging in, especially with regards to his remarks about Kim Jong Un. He hasn’t minced words that he’s a dangerous nut job.

With Putin, same thing, except in his case, Trump has tried to make the case that it might be wrong to assume that Russia is our enemy, at least in every situation, and that it might be worth pursuing some common ground.

Reasonable statements to any reasonable person, but scandalous if you’re someone desperately trying to score some cheap political points”

Yet I still stand by what I said despite your failed effort to ‘splain what he really mean to say. If Hillary or BHO said the exact same statement, word for word, you Trumpalinas would be screaming and stomping.

Kinda puts it in a different light, doesn't it?

The young Kim may be winning personally, but I don’t think the people unfortunate to have been born in North Korea are winning anything.

Trump does this musing aloud thing quite a lot. He uses it to get people to start asking questions about an opponent he thinks they should be asking but aren’t.

At this point it seems to me that you folks have made up your mind. What point is there in my giving substantive answers to valid questions, when at the end of the day you folks will still offer up some variation of, “Well, that does prove what you’re saying, but I still believe he’s an (X) person, or he believes in (X) policies.”

It’s a waste of time for me and a waste of time for you.

I’m not going to play that game.

“Yet I still stand by what I said despite your failed effort to ‘splain what he really mean to say.”

Of course you do, because you’re a fool, and logic has no effect on you.

“If Hillary or BHO said the exact same statement, word for word, you Trumpalinas would be screaming and stomping.”

Wrong, fool. You know nothing about me. If you’ve ever read my posts you’d know that I’m not afraid to criticize Trump when I disagree with him. You’d also know that just because I don’t support a candidate doesn’t mean I’ll just criticize him randomly just because he’s ‘not my guy’, if there’s no basis to do so.

For example, with Cruz, I’ve stayed out of the fray regarding his natural born citizen status because I honestly don’t know if he is or isn’t. If I were someone like you, I would have just jumped in and spouted about things I don’t know about, just to score some political points.

Sorry about the response. I thought I was speaking to an adult.

I'm not going to play that game.

Sometimes I wish this site would have the poster's name in the beginning instead of the end. Would make scroll over easier.

However, some posters, their style is recognizable in two to three words, hence same as having their name in the front of the post.

ETL, then you don’t believe in our nation’s core tenets.

I do.

The public has right to make mistakes. As much as I detest Obama, he was legitimately elected by my fellow citizens.

Was he qualified to be? I don’t believe so. I don’t think he’s a citizen. I do think he was born in Kenya. His own grandmother said she was there when he was born there.

Does this mean that the public is wrong to vote in Trump? Of course not.

He is promoting sound ideas on the campaign trail.

Trying to denigrate him with the stank of Obama is beneath you.

Including 120% of the vote in Filthydelphia, and nary a vote for the Republican.

Does this mean that the public is wrong to vote in Trump

And he will get no such support from the RATagandists nor the "vote early and often" crowd.
