Because I sincerely hope that someone frequenting the FRee Republic website wins the power ball drawing tonight, especially a monthly donor and because that winner will be an (almost) instant billionaire, I am offering some sound advice on how to handle the situation.

TONIGHT

1. DO NOT immediately tell anyone! Not even your spouse.

2. Put the ticket in a safe place, say a prayer and think good thoughts.

TOMORROW
1. Call all your relatives, friends and co-workers and tell them you have a problem and need to borrow $2,000 by Tuesday and you can't explain the situation, but it is urgent.

2. After you've called everyone make a list of who said they would help you.

3. Take your family out for a Sunday evening dinner, don't drink too much and don't share your secret.

4. Say a prayer, get a good night's sleep and dream of the day somewhere down the road when you start doing good things with your new found wealth and relax knowing that there are a lot of people who won't be calling to ask for money!

Great advice. I know there are a lot of people thinking about what they would do with that kind of wealth. I honestly think that most of the people here would do a tremendous amount of good with it. I know I would. Of course I’d be doing a lot of that good on a new Ducati.

Statistically it is very likely there will be a winner. Last I heard 3/4 of the combinations were sold. It must be higher by now.
