Because I sincerely hope that someone frequenting the FRee Republic website wins the power ball drawing tonight, especially a monthly donor and because that winner will be an (almost) instant billionaire, I am offering some sound advice on how to handle the situation.

If I win I intend to grow long fingernails and wear Kleenex boxes on my feet. Don't you want to go through the Hollywood Starlet phase first?

You have to buy your ticket in those states.
A year or two ago, a PA man bought a winning powerball in MD. Because MD is an anonymous winner state, his personal info was never publicized. Had he bought the ticket in his home state of PA it would have been publicized.

Buy a private island, hire some very young looking 18 year old girls, hire Chris Hansen, then invite Bill Clinton over.

Well, there aren’t too many structures that would survive a direct hit by a large tornado. If a basement is not possible due to high groundwater or bedrock, you could get one of those thick steel tornado shelters bolted to a deep concrete pad, I guess.

I always wanted a big truck from early Tonka days...
...like. Terex Titan in Candy Apple Red with a fade to gold metal flake towards the rear. In my geezerdom I've come to appreciate the idea of a front porch with couple of sofas and a beer fridge. Of course I don't need the dump bed, just a duplex apartment, with a small machine shop in the basement.
Would be some hellacious road trips I tell yah. hooyah!

An F-5 can rip up pavement. That scares me.

I’d have a hard time living in a place that got F5 tornadoes with any frequency. We have tornadoes here in NC but they’re seldom large ones.

The numbers have been drawn.
Good luck freepers!

If I ever win a lottery, I would keep living a normal lifestyle and would even continue to go to work every day. I would simply run a business without worrying about whether I actually made a profit or not.
This here would be the one thing I'd buy that I wouldn't even dream of buying without first having a few million dollars in the bank:
It's an EarthRoamer ... and off-road RV built on a Ford F-550 chassis.

I think if I ever did win, I wouldn’t work at a jib, but id spend my time helping the disadvantaged improve their situation. Perhaps tutor or watch their children while they went to school or something.
