Mary Kay Henry, the head of the Service Employees International Union is very nervous about the amount of popularity GOP front-runner Donald Trump has garnered.
She recently said her organization is going into "hyperdrive" to stand up against Trump, because she saw him as a real threat.
Henry was interviewed by David Axelrod for his podcast, "The Axe Files" on Thursday, when she admitted that her organization was worried about what Donald Trump was stirring up in the SEIU's 2.1 million members. She was worried because she believed Trump has the ability to win the White House in November.
During the interview, Henry compared Trump to former California Gov. Pete Wilson. Wilson supported Proposition 226, a measure that unions strongly opposed because it would force them to get approval from individual members to spend their dues on political campaigns.
"This ad that Trump released today is horrific in my mind and reminds me of Pete Wilson in California on Proposition 226," Henry said, most likely referring to Trump's TV ad that talked about building a wall and banning Muslims from entering the United States.
"But Pete Wilson won," Axelrod responded.
"I know. I know. That's why I think this is a very dangerous political moment in our country," Henry admitted.
"I think he's touching this vein of the terrible anxiety that working-class people feel about their current status, but more importantly, how terrified they are for their kids not being able to do as well as they have, never mind doing better," Henry said.

I believe Trump will win the White House in November too!
“But Pete Wilson won,” Axelrod responded.
“I know. I know. That’s why I think this is a very dangerous political moment in our country,” Henry admitted.
So he thinks election results are a danger? Then perhaps he thinks that living in a Republic is a bad idea as well?
This just shows that the SEIU and unions are nothing more than appendages of the Left. They care about blue-collar workers as much as China does.
This is very likely.
Tweets from Trump;

Love seeing union & non-union members alike are defecting to Trump. I will create jobs like no one else. Their #Dem leaders can’t compete!

I hope all workers demand that their @Teamsters reps endorse Donald J. Trump. Nobody knows jobs like I do! Don’t let them sell you out!
Love it!!!

So the problem isn’t that the next generation won’t do as well as there did, but that people realize it and will vote for Trump to fix it.
That the country is deteriorating is not a concern, of course.
Didn’t Trump go after Walker over his public union stand?
They’re confused. Pete Wilson was terrible with no energy and did what he was told. He had his chance to take it to the podium he once owned.
This comparison to Trump is a joke. That being said, all those in the chain of corruption, from top to bottom have reason to be concerned. That would include some union leaders, politicians and others throughout government including some contractors.
Good endorsement.
Yep. Lotta union bosses demand outrageous benefit packages that the rank and file couldn’t care less about, and which would bankrupt the businesss.
They’d rather send our jobs overseas, than settle for common-sense COLA’s offered by management that would keep the jobs here. That’s because the union bosses are often “internationalists” i.e. commies.

As it happens, Trump was with Walker on unions.
...but Matt Brandon, secretary-treasurer of the airport officers union, told CNN they have serious issues with the protocol. "These men and women are sent to the Chicago police academy, and trained as police officers, and being a former police officer, I know your first instinct is to go to the problem -- not run away from the problem. We're nothing but casualties if you tell us to run and hide. And how can the public look at us if they see police officers running and hiding? That goes against the very oath we were sworn to that we took."
I thought so. Walker may have a place in a Trump administration.
Now that he is out of the race, Trump is saying nice things about him.
democrats don’t like him
vichy republican leadership doesn’t like him
unions don’t like him
socialists don’t like him
more and more evidence he is the candidate that can actually help destroy the grip the vichy republicans have on the party, and help get in people that will genuinely’fight democrats, socialism and the new world order groups running rampant all over this country.
SEIU fake leadership wants to dictate to members how to vote.
I would love to SEIU membership either collapse or see some conservatives take it over. :)
And who's fault is that M.K. Henry?
Hussein's? The guy you probably voted for twice!!
The heck with you..!!
SEIU is a horrible union. They treat non-union members very badly.
I hope their gravy train is about to dry up.
Bingo. The only thing the SEIU cares about it's members (serfs) is collecting dues money off them. Other than that, they don't give a damn about any of them.
The SEIU is a thoroughly corrupt organization.
