That said, this is the kind of lie that just about everyone can feel strongly about; and, it so succinctly (and completely) describes Mrs. Clinton's hideous lack of character.

Interesting comment, and I have seen what you mean.
As a once and former Californian, I've known a lot of libs/Dems/progressives, and many fit your description.
And, many do not.
Exposing this very lie of Hillary's stands a very good chance of waking up a whole lot of libs, and a huge proportion of indies.
Besides the fact that nobody likes to be lied to, and proven liars stand a near-zero chance of ever re-gaining trust, our military actives and vets have a wider scope of appreciation than you might think. Off-hand, I know many folks who consider themselves liberals, that still harbor a respect and admiration for those who serve.
Not all, especially among the younger liberals, who are (I suspect) more than a generation away from a family member that served. Just guessing on this last point.
