Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% has repeatedly defended his eligibility to be president this week, but wondering whether his Canadian birthplace would prevent him from running for the office has been on his mind since at least childhood, a classmate of his tells CNN.

If his mother was in fact a Canadian citizen when he was born, there is a problem which will need to be resolved IF he remains in the race after March.

Oooo....what if his mother was a Kenyan/British national? After all, that question is on the Internet (yes, I just made it here) and so must be taken seriously until proof comes out that his mother was not a Kenyan/British national.
Well, as a member of team trump you’re moving the goal posts. At first, it was, “he didn’t raise the topic, the reporter did,” as if he was somehow a passive actor in the whole charade. Then it was, “he wasn’t questioning Sen. Cruz eligibility, he was pointing out others might.”
Now we’ve moved on to, “he was right to to question Sen. Cruz’ eligibility.”
Well, to that I say, trump said in September 2015 that there was no question.
trump is either lying now, or was lying this past September. It can go with his lie that Sen. Cruz had dual passports. Or that Gov. Walker had a $2.2 billion budget deficit, or that Dr. Carson never managed more than a nurse or two.
trump has lied about his opponents during this entire race.

Doofus, according to this latest allegation (and, yes, since you posted it on the internet and the Leftist/Cult of Personality law of “it’s the seriousness of the charge that is important, not whether it is true”) the mother may not have been born in the US. Where was she born?

Actually, I’ve said very little on this subject... But the more I read about it the more I think it needs to be addressed.
My assumption at this point is that Cruz is qualified, but the issue would cost him votes unless it is put to bed. Better to be done in the primary than in the general...

(I’ve seen where they said he never had a Canadian passport, but have not seen the statement on his mom’s Canadian citizenship.)

He’s running for POTUS. Cruz bears the burden of proving he’s eligible for the office. That includes proving his mother was born here and producing a birth certificate.
I like the guy. I like his policies. I like the way he votes.
He’s still subject to abide by the Constitution.
