How can this be constitutional with freedom of speech?

Under the incorporation doctrine, which says that selected provisions of the Bill of Rights (including freedom of speech) are applicable to the states through the Due Process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, it's not. When has constitutionality ever mattered to democrats? Liberals are thugs with a totalitarian streak a mile wide. Today, they have the power to compel obedience, they hope, and they will not miss this opportunity to stomp on as many honest people as they can.

If you're one of the short handful that don't fit into either category, well, we'll figure it out on a case-by-case basis. A few thousand, out of 300 million, I think we'll be able to work around. We've already seen that school-age children (children!) get to pick - and change on a daily basis - what gender they identify with, all with no way to tell if they're serious about any of it.

I'm telling you, this can of worms does not have a screw top on it; once it's off, you can't seal it back up again.
