One thing Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have in common -- they both like to have big things named after them.
The latest batch of emails released by the State Department uncovers a massive ego trip by the former secretary of state. Anxious to etch her name in glass, as well as in history, she and her closest aides raised $37 million from corporations and foreign governments to build a U.S. Diplomacy Center to be named after Clinton.
In a Feb. 1, 2013 email -- the last days of Clinton's tenure at State -- close friend and special adviser to the secretary Elizabeth Bagley gushed to Cheryl Mills, "I am dedicated to having her return to the State Department next year for the dedication of the glass building that will bear her name."
Apparently unaware of the perils of building a glass house while throwing stones, Bagley successfully solicited funds from at least 14 corporations, almost all of whom had lobbied the State Department on issues near to their hearts. Four oppressive Middle East governments -- United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Brunei, all with close ties to the Clinton Foundation and important issues before State also contributed.

The White House FBI files controversy of the Clinton Administration, often referred to as Filegate, arose in June 1996 around improper access in 1993 and 1994 to Federal Bureau of Investigation security-clearance documents. Craig Livingstone, director of the White House's Office of Personnel Security, improperly requested, and received from the FBI, background reports concerning several hundred individuals without asking permission.
The revelations provoked a strong political and press reaction because many of the files covered White House employees from previous Republican administrations, including top presidential advisors. Under criticism, Livingstone resigned from his position. Allegations were made that senior White House figures, including First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, may have requested and read the files for political purposes, and that the First Lady had authorized the hiring of the underqualified Livingstone.
The matter was investigated by the House Government Reform and Oversight Committee, the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the Whitewater Independent Counsel. In 1998, Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr exonerated President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton of any involvement in the matter after she and her husband denied having any idea who hired Livingstone or why he was working in the White House!

We've had a building named after Hillary Clinton back of our farmhouse for years.
It's a perfect fit ... cause you go in there to do what she does to the country ... it smells like some of her deals ... and if you shine a light in the right place, you will see something that looks like her.
The only thing about it that's not quite right ... unlike the real Hillary, after you've been there for a while, you've actually accomplished something!

I saw the plans for that building. Instead of a standard foundation, the building stood on two “sensible shoes” and a pair of giant cankles.
