Trump Holds 15 Point Lead in Michigan over Rubio – 33-18%
Overtime Politics ^ | 1/5/2016 | Overtime Politics

Donald Trump is looking strong in Michigan, with a 15 point lead over Marco Rubio.

Not far behind Rubio is Ted Cruz with 17% of the vote. The Cruz/Rubio dynamic is going to be interesting over the next couple of months, and I suspect it will come to a head on March 1st. Unless something wild happens, either Cruz, or Rubio, will probably drop out of the race in mid-March. While Rubio may be shut out of receiving any delegates due to not reaching Texas' proportionality threshold of 20%, there is a decent chance he would win Florida outright on March 15th, which is a winner take all state. Trump and Cruz split the Texas delegates, Rubio takes all of Florida's, and everything would come down to who has been doing better outside of their home state.

Rubio beats all among Hispanics, but look how badly Cruz does with Hispanics-—worse than Trump, 7%

Rubio beats all in this poll among Hispanics-—but in few, if any, others I’ve seen.

What I see in this poll are the ages of people highest for Trump...( 46-59); they can see the younger people struggling( 18-30), those that are out of college and can't find work; and they can see the older people counting pennies to live on (31)...this tells me they feel Trump can bring back jobs to get the groups of (18-30) and themselves (46-59) keep working at better jobs that Trump will bring in...

Trump has told us in his speeches that he will take care of the Senior Citizens, but they have heard that before, but are willing to take a chance (as you know, there is not a COLA raise this year)...

Trump is doing well with across the board nationalities...he has appealed to a lot of them, you see this in the rallies, Latinos, Blacks, Asians, and also young, middle aged and elderly...

I'm not to worried about Independent, Republican or Democrat, I think the media makes way to much out of this and is getting like the term: conservative or racist, it's lost it's meaning, it's old and tiresome to read and hear and the voters are tired of it...

People that I talk to on a regular basis are more worried about the economy; health care; education; job market and taxes....

As far as Hillary beating Trump, I think it's a joke, Hillary can't stand up to Bernie and has to have her husband, who looks far worse and is in worse condition that she's in going out to campaign for her; then she has her ‘friend’ Lena Durham ready to go out to campaign and we all know what she is...Hillary won't make it to the end...either they are going to ‘bring her in’ or she'll drop out for health reasons...and Trump has no worries with Bernie, who wants a Communist as a President; and what has Martin O’Malley got to offer....

A brokered Convention, one person yesterday explained to me, that the DNC would probably do, Biden, Warren...and I still think Trump can beat them both...

I'm very pleased with the job Trump is doing, and have all the faith in the world he will be our next POTUS without a doubt...

In the fall Trump spoke at the national Jewish republican conference in NV. If you can find the video watch it. They got all of his jokes! He mentioned having an entire wall of his office covered with awards from the Jewish community
DTs relationship with the NYC community goes back a long time. One of his father’s partners and best friends was Jewish and he would include little Donnie in family festivities and community celebrations. Many of his classmates and even a roommate or two were from the NYC community at the military school he attended. (They are lifetime friends). Same with college friends His daughter married into an orthodox family and converted. Therefore his grandchildren through her are Jewish. She keeps a kosher diet and kitchen. No technology on the Sabath.
His lawyer is from a prominent NYC Jewish family — his father was also a friend of Trumps father
He WILL WIN the Jewish community YUGE!

Trump is underrepresented across the board IMHO.. Even voicing the notion you could live with Trump as the candidate or the president is not politically correct... he definitely has some reverse Bradley effect going on IMHO.

Assuming Trump is the nominee, I think you are going to see a lot of upper midwest, mid atlantic and even a few new england states go Red for the first time in a long long time... The classic map that Democrats rely on will be imploded.

But how many snow birds vote twice? And how many ballots sent out? These aren’t old people trying to get their point across, they’re Democrat/Republican activists with an agenda.

A fiend of mine got a registration form to vote in FLA. His main residence is PA. Guess the voter fraud crowd figures if he registered, they could use that vote. Veritas exposed the high level of fraud in this country with ACORN and America shrugged.

Trump has a LOT of work to do with the 18-30 voter group.
All the ones I meet have totally consumed the Bernie Sanders Kool-Aid.

But how many snow birds vote twice?

I was referring to the number of people who moved to Florida from the northeast. VERY high. The snow birds who maintain a home up north are a different group. I don't know how many of the frauds are going to vote in the FL Republican primary. If they do, they aren't voting for Rubio. They MIGHT vote for John Ellis Bush.

I have read that, have never seen his ‘rallies’ but at Trump rallies, there sure are a lot of them there...so they can’t be all going to Bernie.

Have you been to a Sanders rally? What are they like?

Yes indeed. Still, it is significant that no one else seems able to attract them. And with percentages this high among Republican blacks, don’t think Trump isn’t making inroads into Dem blacks (I.e. Diamond and Silk). All he needs is 10% to be a game changer.

Like you said, doesn’t matter. Trump crushing Cruz in MI.

Cruz is DOA in Michigan with his past positions/votes on TPA and H-1B. No chance.

Yep. Trump smashes the Dem coalition into a million pieces. No other GOP candidate can do that. The Dem/MSM have the template to beat any GOP career politican candidate in 2016. Trump or bust, IMO.
