Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee on Wednesday blasted Ted Cruz after a POLITICO report quoted the Texas senator telling a donor that fighting gay marriage wouldn't be a "top-three priority" for his administration.
"Conservatives are being asked to 'coalesce' around yet another corporately-funded candidate that says something very different at a big donor fundraiser in Manhattan than at a church in Marshalltown," Huckabee said in a statement released by his campaign Wednesday afternoon. "Shouldn't a candidate be expected to have authenticity and consistency, instead of having to look at a map to decide what to believe and what to say?"...

I don’t think Huckabee realizes that the battle over gay marriage has already been lost. Talk about fighting the last war...
Huckabee needs to get back to releasing cop killers.
Not this crap again.
Yeah.....this crap again.
You are wrong. The battle over gay marriage is not over. The Supreme Court does not have the authority to decide on what is or isn’t marriage. That ruling can be changed.
A legend in his own mind!
Get lost, Huckster.
Ain’t gonna happen.

Frankly with ISIS on the march, the national debt tripling in 8 years, and Iran on the verge of nukes, I gotta go with Ted on this one.
Huck's poll numbers surged to 2%?
Yup. I’m looking at the phrasing of the question, and I’d agree with his assessment of it not being a “top 3” issue. The ruling made me sick, and family is easily a top 10 priority - but it comes likely in the form of Supreme Court appointments.
CNN/ORC poll the rest have him at 1
cripes- even Huckabee is turning into john Kasich - shut up Huckabee- I’m quickly losing respect for you-
Yes he is. Maybe I don’t agree with Sen. Cruz’s prioritization of issues, but I’m willing to bet all of mine are on the list.
Old news.
There have been posts by several Freepers that Cruz is unacceptable because he will not make "gay marriage" a top priority. Cruz has said he favors following the Constitution in matters like this. And yes, like Roe v. Wade, the only way these things will ever change is by overturning the decisions.
Huck's pandering on this issue reminds me of lefty politicians who start talking about gun control after every mass shooting. It's nothing but posing.
Maybe I am wrong
