BURNS – Law enforcement agencies are remaining mum about plans to end militiamen's occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge headquarters.
A splinter group of militia in town to support a local ranching family took over the federal office Saturday afternoon in a development that stunned the community and visiting militia.
Harney County Sheriff Dave Ward said in a statement late Saturday that "a collective effort from multiple agencies is currently working on a solution."

The backdrop: Militiamen from several states came to Burns to protest the impending imprisonment of two Harney County ranchers. They participated in several community meetings and organized a rally and protest march that occurred without controversy on Saturday. This “giving obama every excuse he needs” is getting old. obama and the libs have proven that they are going to do what ever they want to do, no matter what the American people say or do. I don’t know if the occupation is a good thing, or a bad thing. I do know that the sentiment (government abuse of the citizenry) that sparked it is valid,and more people need to speak up and take acion against it.
The guys were released from jail sentence served. Then the feds call them up one day and say “okay guys, back to prison for 5 more years.”

Or Occupy Wall Street? Or environmentalists?
Trump was all in favor of having a municipal jurisdiction take the land of a cranky old lady who wouldn’t sell it for his casino (which went bankrupt anyway). So I guess it depends on who the takeover benefits.
That said, the Feds in this case are not taking over anything, but were definitely over-enforcing. The people who had actually been arrested were going to challenge this in court, but now that the Bundy nuts have done this, I don’t think their chances are going to be very good.
