Saudi Arabia has announced that it is severing diplomatic ties with Iran following Saturday's attack of its embassy in Tehran during protests.
Adel al-Jubeir, Saudi foreign minister, made the announcement on Sunday as the foreign ministry announced that it would ask the Iranian diplomatic mission to leave the kingdom within 48 hours.
The Saudi foreign ministry has also announced that the staff of its diplomatic mission have been evacuated, and are now on their way back to Saudi.

Agreed!
.......1,2,3......Go!.........,,,Muzzies! Start killing each other! Don’t let the door hit you in the ass!
Has Obama found the combination? Muzzies killing Muzzies saves untold bombs, bullets, soldiers, pilots, fuel etc etc etc!
Well, if they’re going to start killing each other, I sure hope nobody is stupid enough to intervene.
Where will ISIS fit into this? Can they get offed at the same time?
You say that like its a bad thingð
The only problem is it could lead to more “refugees” overrunning Europe. So Europe better get their borders locked down..Stat!
The Saudis and other Sunnis have been up-arming for the past five years. I get the impression from the Saudis that they are actually serious about fighting their own battles and fighting for their country. They know they cannot rely on the U.S.
The Saudis have attacked Iranians in Yemen. This is no joke, the Saudis will go all in if they attack Iran, and might even covertly cooperate with Israel. The Iranians will not know what hit them. They will be overrun by Sunnis with Israel protecting their flank.
Personally, I think this is going to end up being a lot bigger international issue than the attention it’s attracting at the moment.
The Saudis finally got fed up and executed one of Iran’s ayatollahs of the Twelver sect after years of Iranian assassination plots against their kingdom. They located this phony Sheikh Nimr character who’d been orchestrating an uprising in SA’s eastern province and got into a shootout with his men when they tried to capture him. Then they put him to the sword. Students in Tehran are once again burning embassies and gaining popular support from the average Iranian.
The Saudi foreign minister who has been the most visible Saudi voice of the Kingdom in this was Saudi ambassador to the US for over a decade until just recently. Iranian intelligence tried to murder him in NYC back in 2011 in a bombing attack at a swanky restaurant with the assistance of what they imagined were Mexican drug cartels.
The whole thing reads like a Tom Clancy novel, and there’s no Jack Ryan to save the day in real life.
I believe he was referring to the Iran-Iraq war.
Anyone know when the Saudi’s last fought anyone? If ever?
Ooops! Yemen, ongoing fight at the moment.
If this keeps up, it’s not going to be good for oil prices; prices at the pump will skyrocket.
Let them kill each other by the millions. Good riddance. No one watches the JV games anyway.
May put a crimp in O’s STOU next week
Do we have any idea just exactly is going on and how bad this really is?
Ping for a.m. reading...
Nukes will be dropped. Hope it stays local.
KSA sent some troops into the 1948 fracas in Israel. Until recently in Yemen, the last Saudi military actions were against Saddam Hussein in Desert Storm (it is little known, but a fact, that the first shots fired in Desert Storm were fired from Saudi tanks at an Iraqi armored column which had crossed over into Saudi Arabia...)
the infowarrior
What's going on? The military/industrial complex has decided to do something to jack the oil prices back up, get weapons of war flowing again and keep people distracted. That's what's going on.
How bad is it? Just the usual. The press will be giddy at the prospect of all the latest carnage, politicians will increase global temperatures by 2 degF, the weapons suppliers will be gearing up to replace the hundreds of millions of dollars of weapons destroyed in the battles and heaven and hell will be packed with fresh souls.
How's that?
Good points!
