BURNS-Law enforcement agencies are remaining mum about plans to end militiamen's occupation of the Malheur Natiomal Wildlife Refuge headquarters.
A splinter group of militia in town to support a local ranching family took over the federal office Saturday afternoon in a development that stunned the community and visiting militia.
Harney County Sheriff Dave Ward said in a statement late Saturday that " a collective effort from multiple agencies is currently working on a solution."........
Law enforcement response: During Saturday's rally, not a police officer was visible. And so far law enforcement agencies have not approached the refuge or blocked access to the property. The FBI is in charge because the refuge is on federal property. The Harney County Sheriff's Office and the Oregon State Police are engaged as well.
Militia response: Members of state and national militia organizations issued statements Saturday denouncing the occupation. Several leaders said they knew nothing of plans to occupy the refuge. Many remain in the Burns area.......
What's next: Because the refuge is so remote and no government employees are at risk, law enforcement isn't likely to immediately confront the militia. But law enforcement will be under great pressure to act because of the Bundy's confrontation in Nevada. The U.S. Bureau of Land Management retreated from that confrontation and has yet to publicly act against the Bundy's to collect $1 million in unpaid grazing fees. The retreat has emboldened militia members as they now fact prospect of another standoff.

I put up an excerpt, there is more in the story itself.
T-minus a few minutes to PATRIOTIC FREEPERS proclaiming that protecting someone from Re-Going-To-Jail is illegitimate, and one must follow the rule of law enforced by corrupt judges.
Because patriotism. We can’t have lawlessness.
Hopefully, the feds are smart enough not to this into another Waco...
I’m reporting this, not trying to preach but I have opinions about God and peace and serenity, making sober decisions including ones about disobeying rules or laws.
What’s happening is happening. I hope for a peaceful solution and am also concerned about those who place faith in politics and worship political leaders as if they are Messiahs.
There’s something not sober or sane about that either.
The political worship detracts from the bad direction this country is moving in and the inability of politics to stop it.
Agreed. I would much rather have seen the pro-rancher folks laying down in front of federal vehicles, blocking access, that sort of thing. I'm not quite seeing the value of occupying a building out in the middle of nowhere.
Most likely Militia = Terrorist groups
Funny, how the Occupy movement was never portrayed as terrorists when they took over buildings, public spaces and stayed for months with tacit local government approval !
I'm thinking the administration knows the American public is a slow smoldering tinderbox and will proceed with extreme caution...
They don't want to light a fire they can't control...
Point of info, these fellows sound more like they are “camped” on the outside; as if there is a real difference in occupying the building itself, I don’t know. Good for them.
Oregon has been completely Californicated - just read the Comments section of that site.
I think we need to read the situation carefully, I got the impression a closed headquarters building was occupied, that implying a break in. A lot is not known to us, we can’t see the situation with our own eyes.
From Google Earth, one sees a group of buildings with one public parking area and a smaller private parking area near the front building.
Dude, you know we are totally on the same side on OTrauma and his lawless occupying army, right?
That said, I am just plain NOT WITH THIS. Here’s why:
I think there’s a tipping point, where OTrauma just starts going full-Stalin. I don’t think we are there yet, notice how delicately he’s treading on his gun control Executive Order tomorrow. It’s basically a tiny measure — proported to be background checks if the seller sells 25 guns a year — and he had his people research it for MONTHS before deciding to proceed.
Comes a time he won’t be so careful or delicate. That’s when we know the balloon went up.
That, or any grid-down scenario. Either of those.
This particular deal is just unwise.
Thanks for your note, the other thread http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3379114/posts?page=32#32 says they “broke in”, Fox has shown some coverage where it looks like they are standing around campfires.
So, we can all just see how this develops and God bless these people from all I know.
I see you. It’s just that there is genuine pushback. On supposedly double jeopardy grounds.
The question is... when is pushback legitimate?
Getting there, but not quite yet. OTrauma should act FIRST. This incident will just be used to harm America.
The degenerate queers on the Ninth Circuit and the DOJ have decided to teach Whitey a lesson.
The government signed off on the original sentences.
They now VIOLATE the 8th Amendment.
The lawlessness of the COMMUNIST PARTY in charge must be exposed.
Thats what this is all about.
Hammonds can not say they approve of this action, they are already under the jackboot.
Look for the Feds to come with EXTREME violence and quickly.
The longer this goes on, the more damage they incur and the more Americans wake up and become outraged.
Yeah, If a couple of Apachee’s turn it into a smoking hole in the ground before monday sunrise, we will know!
The folks at Ruby Ridge and Waco were also not posing any direct threat to anyone, yet they were massacred. The gubmint is trying to find some way to justify another massacre and if they do that, it will probably lead to a new "policy of zero tolerance" for those who stand up to their hostile takeover....
again
Ever read Unintended Consequences?
Hmmm, will we see drones put to use here?
