Three of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy's sons and what they claim are 150 militia members have occupied a federal building in eastern Oregon in order to keep two local ranchers out of prison, according to local reports.
The group is believed to be heavily-armed.
According to The Oregonian, the group seized the headquarters building at Malheur National Wildlife Refuge about 50 miles outside Burns, Ore. The remote facility was closed and unoccupied at the time.
Bundy and his supporters were in Oregon after two men were scheduled to go to prison on Monday for setting fires on federal land, according to a report by Oregon Public Broadcasting. The case has caused a stir in eastern Oregon because the two men were charged under anti-terrorism laws.

It’s a delicate situation. if it turns into a tragedy, we need to exploit it maximally.
The people in the East and urban areas in general donât understand this.>>>
your excused. I live in philly. i understand this. most around me maybe not. most younger peopel not at all. but i’ll see.

Sorry about your stuff. Cops can be real dirtbags.

‘We are under more tyranny than we were back then, by far. ‘
Tell that to Frederick Douglas.
It does a lot more than that. It clears thatch from native bunch grasses so that they express more rapidly the next spring. It releases hormones that stimulate giberellic acid production in seeds that breaks abscisic acid seed dormancy. It clears away competition for nitrogen fixing plants that provide the bulk of protein to herbivores. It consumes brush seedlings and maintains these early seral conditions.
And then some, but you get the idea.
According to the article you posted, the Hammonds don’t want anything to do with the takeover of the refuge center. They plan on going in next week to go to prison.
Some day a book will be written about the Hammond situation to show what a travesty of justice was committed by the BLM and Fish and Wildlife against the Hammonds.
Before you make dumb statements, you need to read about the facts of this case. They are well documented in numerous places.
I do not know the Bundy boys and their militia pals; however, I do feel they are American citizens who feel they have been pushed around by their government servants for far too long. I wish them all well and thank them for standing up against government tyranny.
And you, Reno89519, will play hell entering government land unless our government servants say so, usually after you pay a fee to enter your “public” lands. We are charged taxes so they can buy these lands and then are charged a fee for usage? Excuse me, but this is wrong.
The Hammonds are willing to go to prison, that’s for sure.
But the protestors occupying the building don’t think they should be going for a second time after doing time for this offense before.
The group, reportedly about a hundred in number as reported from someone on the inside, want to take a stand on the issue.
Are they right....are they wrong.....are they being set up with federal informants and agents in their ranks....have they taken leave of their senses with an ill conceived action.....what will other patriotic minded people think and how will they respond to the situation??????
God Bless America and may there be peace and serenity, sanity and sobriety in the lives of all those involved tonight.
An oldie but a goodie.

Well, burn, baby, burn..
Oh, Good God.
"A federal building". Gruberment propaganda.
The gruberment would call a 5 foot by 6 foot firewood shed "a federal building" if it served their purposes.
I make this call even before I look up the satellite phot of their "federal building".
LOL with 57 genders now who knows?
All I want to know is - did these rebellious individuals pay their healthcare insurance premiums?
If you would care to read my subsequent posts, you would see I admitted my mistake. I was going by this article’s statements and under the assumption that this was an arsonist situation and that people could get killed. If you are not inclined to read my posts, just know that I do not support the government in this instance.
Well, it’s safe to say people here only recognize 2. ;)
The heart of this matter is in the backstory. They were already tried, convicted, sentenced and served their time and were released. Now way after the fact the Feds are coming back and trying to imprison them again, just because they think the original sentence wasn’t enough.
How about if you got a parking ticket, paid the fine, and now some yayhoo judge and prosecutor want to send you to prison after all is said and done? The Feds are WAY off base here, but that is nothing new in the West.
Good lord
