Some day a book will be written about the Hammond situation to show what a travesty of justice was committed by the BLM and Fish and Wildlife against the Hammonds.
Before you make dumb statements, you need to read about the facts of this case. They are well documented in numerous places.
I do not know the Bundy boys and their militia pals; however, I do feel they are American citizens who feel they have been pushed around by their government servants for far too long. I wish them all well and thank them for standing up against government tyranny.
And you, Reno89519, will play hell entering government land unless our government servants say so, usually after you pay a fee to enter your “public” lands. We are charged taxes so they can buy these lands and then are charged a fee for usage? Excuse me, but this is wrong.
If you would care to read my subsequent posts, you would see I admitted my mistake. I was going by this article’s statements and under the assumption that this was an arsonist situation and that people could get killed. If you are not inclined to read my posts, just know that I do not support the government in this instance.
The heart of this matter is in the backstory. They were already tried, convicted, sentenced and served their time and were released. Now way after the fact the Feds are coming back and trying to imprison them again, just because they think the original sentence wasn’t enough.
How about if you got a parking ticket, paid the fine, and now some yayhoo judge and prosecutor want to send you to prison after all is said and done? The Feds are WAY off base here, but that is nothing new in the West.
