Thanks to the Human Rights Commission, Washington state's newest law makes businesses open their bathroom doors to both men and women - meaning, men must be granted equal and unfettered access to the ladies' restrooms.
"This first-of-its-kind, statewide law is part of the recent push to frame gender-segregated bathrooms as an affront to 'equality,'" wrote Joseph Backholm in the Family Policy Institute of Washington.
A new rule issued by the state's HRC just took effect this month - and that's after the Houston's lesbian mayor lost her own personal campaign to open women's restrooms to men, due to voter backlash. Voters in Missouri and Arkansas recently shot down similar proposals, too.
But Washington went a different way, and the HRC, which has rule-making powers, created a new mandate for the entire state to abide.

Wow, so equality now means not just having a men's and women's bathrooms, it means to be equal all bathrooms are non-gender specific. You can't make this stuff up.

Why aren’t conservatives making this an issue? This is a no-brainer. Look how Houston dealt with it.

City of Dallas push through the same thing. Sick. And why is it always the women’s restrooms? Why do I not have access to the stalls in the men’s room? Not that I want access. Wouldn’t that be true equality?
The only place I ever saw same sex restrooms was in some of the bars in Korea - remember almost getting my shoes wet while using a urinal and seeing two women walk in to use a stall. At least they didn't goggle and giggle on the way by and closed the stall door....
Will men now demand urinals to be installed in women’s restrooms? It’s only fair y’know.

The left hates women. Remember how many gay men (who really do despise women) make up the far left. And then throw in the muslims.

Stupidity. Even with the lack of consideration for women n this decision, how about the problems women have had for many long years with lines and lines outside the BR door at public events when men come and go freely in their BR’s?
One more case of females getting the backhand by certain liberal people who make decisions. I do not say it lightly, as I am among the most critical of women who complain, but this decision is idiotic and unfair.
